Overview:
As one Fast Break run ends, another begins. Along with that, a fresh start with aspirations to place in the top 500 while possibly claiming the coveted top prize. Day 1 is no gimme as Points Scored & Three Pointers Made are needed to earn a win today. As there will be no games scheduled tomorrow, December 24th, 28 of 30 teams will be in action so your options are bountiful. This is the time of the run where you look ahead and plan the rest of your run to ensure you are not hamstringing yourself by using the best of the best (especially if you’re limited on plays based on your collection).
Keep in mind the NBA Top Shot holiday festivities begin today, so be sure to keep an eye out for announcements to avoid missing out on different opportunities. One of the more prominent opportunities is the ability to trade any NBA rare moment in exchange for $10 Top Shot Credit and any NBA Legendary moment traded for $100 Top Shot Credit. Now this doesn’t make sense for your high-end rares and legendaries, but if there are any in your collection you don’t love and they’re low value, it is an opportunity to trade up your collection. Also if you are so inclined, you can find both NBA rare & legendary moments under those thresholds which gives you an ability to earn a slight arbitrage by buying and trading rare/legendary moments (ex: buy rare moment on flowty.io for $9.30, trade in the same rare moment for $10.00 Top Shot credit, and receive $0.70 profit for your effort).
Otherwise, you can focus your attention on today’s Fast Break objective and the fresh 13-day run.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 1 requires five (5) players who will make 15.0 three pointers and score 130 or points, which means your lineup will need to average 3.0 3PM & 26.0 PTS per player. Based on prior series, 10.0 three pointers and 125.0 points scored are needed, but both are a tad higher for Day 1 which likely means a challenging day for about half the population. Considering today’s objectives, you will need to decide which stat to prioritize as there aren’t many players who can score 30+ points and make 3+ three pointers on any given night. Some may choose to include Giannis for the points, but slot in Steph Curry for three pointers. Others may choose to utilize three-point shooting high scorers with the hopes today will not be an off day.
