Overview:

Two of the arguably most consistent and reliable NBA players for Fast Break are Joker & Giannis. A Jokic rare moment will set you back $42.00 whereas a Giannis rare is $28.00 (as of this article) - the latter of which has 4,000 more rares in circulation than the former which partially explains the discrepancy. Yesterday’s objective was Field Goals Made and Giannis was projected to accumulate 10+…but he contributed only five. For that poor performance and considering he was used in 51% of lineups, he is your Fast Break Dud of the Day. Ant, on the other hand, had another big game and led the Timberwolves to a win after he made 14 field goals, which helped the 62% who utilized him in their Fast Break lineup.

After the first day of Run 7 where roughly 6,000 participants set a lineup, 72% walked away with a win which is a more positive start than Run 6 where less than 20% earned a win on Day 1. Keep in mind daily and run-based winners are top 25 only, so there will be more competition at the top. Also, there is also less room for error and flexibility to reach the 11-win pack. The Run 6 equivalent 9-win pack is currently selling for $24 in the Top Shot Marketplace - 673 remain unopened and there are 6 legendaries, 156 rares, and a few S1 TSDs (Luka, Giannis, Tatum, SGA, AD) hiding in those packs (source: otmnft.com). Said differently, it’s worth the effort to push for 11 wins whether you intend to flip or plan to rip. Let’s dive into today’s objective.

Fast Break Day 2 requires five (5) players who will gather 45.0 or more rebounds, which means your lineup will need to average 9.0 REB per player. Like Day 1, this could be a sneaky challenging day if you have any player who falls well short of their projections or averages. Of the players in action today, 17 are projected to exceed 9.0 rebounds today, but only 7 have averaged above this threshold over their last 10 games. It’s also worth noting Jusuf Nurkic was relegated to the bench and Mason Plumlee was moved to the starting lineup for the Phoenix Suns. Nurkic should continue to see his average minutes, but it’ll be worth tracking whether his rebound numbers change with the shift to the second team.
