NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 1 | Day 3

Victor Wembanyama dropped a 40-piece, VJ Edgecombe made history, and the Jazz stun the Clippers

NBA Recap: October 22, 2025

Twelve games packed the NBA slate, and the rookies & young stars stole the spotlight. Victor Wembanyama bullied Dallas with 40 points and 15 boards, spoiling Cooper Flagg’s debut in a 125–92 Spurs rout. In Boston, VJ Edgecombe dropped 34 points—the most in a debut since Wilt—and paired with Tyrese Maxey’s 40 to edge the Celtics 117–116. RJ Barrett and Brandon Ingram powered Toronto to a franchise-record 138 points in their opener against Atlanta, while Scottie Barnes continued his climb up the Raptors’ all-time scoring list.

Elsewhere, Joel Embiid returned quietly, OG Anunoby iced the Cavs late for the Knicks, and the Jazz stunned the Clippers behind a 129-point outburst (43 in the first quarter and 78 in the first half). The Bucks, Grizzlies, and Suns all held serve at home, the Timberwolves edged Portland, and the Pelicans fell short in Memphis.

NBA Fast Break Results: Day 2

60% of Fast Break participants earned a win on Day 2 and is the second consecutive day where over 50% of collectors walked away happy. Derrick White was the second most utilized player (68%) and had an eye-popping number of three point attempts (20) and made six of them, which covered 40% of the required makes and 80% of the needed attempts. His performance earned him a much deserved Fast Break Stud of the Day award.

On the other side of the Celtics equation was Payton Pritchard, who was the 5th most utilized player for three pointers. Unfortunately, he was the worst performer of the top five as he made only one outside bucket out of seven attempts. His performance earned him the Fast Break Dud of the Day award.

Witty’s Fast Break Challenge:

In NBA Fast Break, how often you can use a player depends on the value of their moments—measured by average sale price. That system can put newer and/or smaller collectors at a disadvantage, limiting their ability to compete. This segment is designed to level the playing field, giving resourceful collectors a shot at rewards and proving that smart strategy can still win, even without a stacked collection.
