WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 6 | Day 3
Today’s Objective(s): 20 Field Goals Made & 30 Field Goal Attempts
Overview:
With two days now in the books, Fast Break collectors are off to a promising start, as more than 77% have earned wins on both days. That keeps the door wide open for a perfect run or at least the prized 7-win benchmark. For those chasing win-based packs, the incentive is clear—especially with Level Up rares tucked inside as bonus rewards. Participation isn’t just encouraged—it’s strategic.
A quick spotlight for collectors staying ready: keep tabs on the Origins Set, as certain Moments are poised to be impactful in the upcoming historical Fast Break mode. While full details remain under wraps, early signals from the recent Collectin & Connectin podcast suggest meaningful utility. We’ll continue tracking announcements and will deliver digestible, day-by-day updates here as more specifics surface.
Now, back to our regularly scheduled program and we’ll touch on yesterday’s single WNBA game.
WNBA Scores:
Dream Surge Late, Outgun Mercury in Road Win (ATL 90, PHO 79)
Atlanta found its rhythm when it mattered most. The Dream outscored Phoenix 51–45 in the second half, riding a fourth-quarter flurry to close out a 90–79 win at PHX Arena. Allisha Gray was electric—28 points and 6 assists, including a dagger three and a driving layup in the final minutes. Brittney Griner added a clutch bucket and assist for the Mercury, while DeWanna Bonner hit back-to-back threes to keep it close. But Atlanta’s perimeter shooting and late-game poise proved decisive. For the Dream, it’s a road win that resets momentum—and a reminder that Gray’s shot creation is still one of the league’s toughest covers.
Fast Break Recap: Day 2
The first day of this run required only assists. The two most heavily utilized players were Alyssa Thomas (94%) & Jordin Canada (85%) and they both came through clutch as Alyssa accumulated nine (9) assists whereas Jordin chipped in six (6) assists. With Alyssa Thomas contributing 60% of the day’s objective, she is your Fast Break Star of the Day.
If you one of the many who started both, you cruised to a win. In total, 94% of Fast Break participants earned a win yesterday. There were a number of players who had poor games (relative to Fast Break) including DeWanna Bonner who played 25 minutes off the bench and scored 18 points, but only managed a single assist throughout the contest. As such, she is your Fast Break Dud of the Day.
Today’s Matchups:
Los Angeles Sparks (9-14) vs Connecticut Sun (3-19)
At Mohegan Sun Arena, the Los Angeles Sparks visit the Connecticut Sun in a matchup that tilts heavily toward the visitors. With a 65.9% win probability, L.A. rides a wave of momentum—four wins in five games—while Connecticut continues to search for answers amid a tough stretch. Tina Charles remains the focal point for the Sun, chasing career milestones and anchoring the paint, but the Sparks’ balanced attack led by Dearica Hamby and Rickea Jackson is expected to control the pace. Unless Charles delivers another vintage performance, L.A. is projected to extend Connecticut’s woes.
Las Vegas Aces (12-11) vs Indiana Fever (12-12)
Gainbridge Fieldhouse hosts a compelling clash between the Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces, with Vegas holding a slight 52.2% edge. The Fever debut their “Stranger Things” uniforms, but the real spectacle will be Kelsey Mitchell’s scoring and Aliyah Boston’s interior presence. Las Vegas counters with A’ja Wilson, who’s averaging 31.7 points and 12.7 rebounds over her last three games, supported by Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray. With both teams splitting earlier matchups, tonight’s game could swing late—but Wilson’s dominance makes Vegas the projected favorite.
Seattle Storm (14-10) vs Chicago Sky (7-16)
In Chicago, the Storm take on the Sky at Wintrust Arena, entering with a 68.3% win probability. Seattle’s veteran core—Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins—will look to impose their will early, while Chicago leans on Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso to keep the boards competitive. The Sky have shown flashes of resilience, but Seattle’s defensive structure and offensive versatility give them the edge in what’s expected to be a controlled road win.
Today’s Objective(s): Day 3
You’ll need five (5) players who will sink 20.0 or more field goals out of 30.0 or more attempts, which means each player will need to average 4.0 FGM & 6.0 FGA.
Today feels like a single objective as these two objectives are correlated. The former will determine whether you earn a win today and the latter will dictate where you land on the overall ratings. Generally speaking, today should be a relatively easy one based on prior iterations and the available players. It would be prudent to look ahead to see which players definitely need to start another day and plan today’s lineup after the fact.
