WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 5 | Day 7
Today’s Objective(s): 3 Blocks & 50 Points Scored
WNBA Scores:
Clark Sparks Fever in Offensive Showcase vs. Wings (Fever 102, Dallas 83)
Indiana lit up Gainbridge Fieldhouse with a franchise-record 64-point first half, blitzing Dallas en route to a 102–83 win. Caitlin Clark orchestrated the tempo with 14 points and 13 assists, while Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston filled the gaps with scoring and rim pressure. Paige Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale traded early buckets for Dallas, but the Fever’s pace and ball movement proved overwhelming. For Indiana, it was a statement win—and a reminder that when Clark’s facilitating clicks, their ceiling rises fast.
Liberty Rally from 19 Down, Stun Dream at Barclays (Liberty 79, Atlanta 72)
New York looked buried early—down 19 in the first half—but clawed back behind Leonie Fiebich’s 21-point explosion and a defensive reset that slowed Atlanta’s rhythm. The Liberty flipped the script in the second half, outscoring the Dream 45–28 and locking down the perimeter. Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart chipped in with timely buckets, but it was Fiebich’s shot-making that turned the tide. For a team chasing top-tier consistency, this comeback was equal parts grit and belief.
Sparks Hold Off Sun in Fourth-Quarter Grind (Sparks 92, Sun 88)
L.A. leaned into its veterans and closed strong. The Sparks outlasted Connecticut 92–88 at Crypto.com Arena, snapping the Sun’s momentum after their streak-breaking win. Dearica Hamby and Rickea Jackson made clutch plays late, while the Sparks’ defense held firm in the final minutes. Tina Charles continued her resurgence for Connecticut, but the Sun couldn’t generate stops when it mattered. For L.A., it’s a win that steadies the ship—and hints at a second-half push.
Mystics Muzzle Storm in Road Win (Mystics 74, Storm 69)
Washington went into Climate Pledge Arena and stole one. The Mystics held Seattle to just 69 points, using defensive rotations and rebounding control to frustrate the Storm’s rhythm. Shakira Austin and Brittney Sykes led the charge, while Seattle struggled to find consistent offense despite home-court energy. For Washington, it’s a win that reinforces their identity: tough, tactical, and built to grind out close games.
Fast Break Recap: Day 6
It was a second day in a row where a little less than 50% of collectors earning a win. Interestingly, the top five most utilized players did not make the list of top five players on the day. Of the top five, Brittney Sykes delivered 4 assists & 5 free throws and earned the Fast Break Star of the Day. Conversely, the player with the lowest contribution just happen to be the one found in the most lineups. Natasha Cloud delivered 4 assists, but she had no free throws made. With her performance, she earned the Fast Break Dud of the Day.
Today’s Matchups:
Minnesota Lynx (18-4) vs Chicago Sky (7-13)
After a surprising loss to Chicago just two days ago, the Minnesota Lynx (18–4) return to Wintrust Arena with a clear mission: reclaim momentum before the All-Star break. Despite the Sky’s recent surge—winning three of their last five—Minnesota enters with an 81.7% win probability and a ten-point spread in their favor. Napheesa Collier remains the centerpiece, while Kayla McBride and Alanna Smith round out a squad built to respond. Chicago counters with Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso, whose rebounding and rim protection have sparked recent wins. Still, the Lynx’s depth and urgency make them the projected victors in this rematch.
Phoenix Mercury (14-8) vs Golden State Valkyries (10-10)
The Chase Center hosts a compelling West Coast clash as the Phoenix Mercury (12–6) visit the Golden State Valkyries (9–8). Phoenix boasts elite talent in Satou Sabally and Alyssa Thomas, while DeWanna Bonner’s return adds veteran punch. Golden State, fresh off a franchise-best 104-point outing, leans on Janelle Salaün and Tiffany Hayes to keep the pace high. With both teams capable of explosive scoring and the Valkyries energized by home-court festivities, this one could swing late. Still, Phoenix’s experience and top-tier playmakers give them a slight edge heading into tipoff.
Today’s Objective(s): Day 7
You’ll need five (5) players who will accumulate 3.0 or more blocks and score 50.0 or more points, which means each player will need to average 0.6 BLK and 10.0 PTS.
Generally speaking, today should be easier than most this run as the points threshold is relatively low. You’ll need to ensure you have enough players who have a higher probability of blocks as that objective could sneak up on you.

It looked suspect toward the end, but we were able to squeak by with a win. We still need to win three of the remaining three days to reach 7 wins. Today is going to be the one that likely sinks us. It’ll all come down to whether Kahleah Copper will play. If yes, we’ll swap her in. If not, we pray.
