WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 4 | Day 3
Today’s Objective(s): 3 Steals & 3 Blocks
Recap & Overview:
Golden State Keeps Proving They Belong, but Come Up Short
The Valkyries continue to swing above their weight. Touted as a bottom-tier team entering the season, Golden State has made a habit of punching up—and yesterday was no different. While they came up short against the Liberty, they pushed the defending champs to the brink, and once again showed they’re not just playoff hopefuls—they’re playoff problems. With wins already logged against Indiana, Seattle, Vegas, and Washington, Golden State is writing its own narrative, one upset at a time.
Meanwhile, New York snapped its losing skid, and while the Liberty didn’t dominate, they did enough to grab a much-needed road win and keep pace in the standings.
Aces Coast Past Connecticut to Get Back on Track
In the night’s other game, Las Vegas wasted no time reminding everyone what they’re capable of. A 21–6 opening run set the tone, and the Aces cruised to a wire-to-wire win over the spiraling Sun. That makes back-to-back victories for Vegas, who now set their sights on Washington.
Considering the pace and control of this blowout, the Aces’ rotation stayed fresh—so any concerns about the second half of a back-to-back should be minimal moving forward.
Fast Break Recap: Redemption and Reliability
With rebounds and free throws as the Day 2 targets, the numbers trended in favor of collectors—87% earned a win, a strong bounce-back after a rocky opening to the run. A’ja Wilson’s 8 rebounds and 6 FTs checked every box, giving her the Fast Break Star of the Day nod. Breanna Stewart wasn’t far behind with 10 rebounds and 3 FTs, keeping her in the circle of trust for another night.
Tina Charles underwhelmed slightly (3 boards, 4 FTs), but her output didn’t sink most lineups—thanks in large part to a pool of outperformers who helped smooth over her quiet night.
Fast Break Preview: Build on the Momentum
Las Vegas enters tonight’s back-to-back with momentum and rested legs—thanks to their blowout win—so no red flags for their stars. With the schedule loosening up afterward, tonight’s the last sprint before a breather. In the earlier game, Indiana look to build on their momentum as they previously won against the Storm and earn another win against the Sparks.
Let’s check projections, find the high-floor contributors, and make Day 4 another step toward a flawless run. You’re playing this stretch like a pro.
Today’s Objective(s):
WNBA Fast Break Day 3 requires five (5) players who will accumulate 3.0 or more steals and block 3.0 or more attempts, which means each player will need to average 0.6 STL & 0.6 BLK. The thresholds are low, but there aren’t many players in today’s two games who have a high projection for blocks. That objective will likely be the one that determines whether you earn a win, but avoid leaning too heavily one way or the other.

We didn’t burn our only use of A’ja or Stewie, but cleared the goal by a few rebounds and a couple free throws. A win is a win so that’s one closer to our primary objective of seven wins. Today’s going to be dicey with blocks, to say the least. We subbed out Engstler due to injury, so it’ll take some luck to earn a win today.
