WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 4 | Day 2
Today’s Objective(s): 20 Rebounds & 10 Free Throws Made
Recap & Overview:
Home Teams Hold Strong as Upsets Shake Up the W
Home-court advantage proved decisive once again, as Sunday’s five-game slate saw every host walk away victorious. Monday kept the theme rolling early, with Washington stunning Minnesota and Dallas toppling Atlanta—two results that will surely shake up the league’s narrative. Later in the night, Indiana secured a pivotal win over Seattle (which bucked the home team winning streak), climbing back to .500 in a performance that was equal parts poise and statement-making—especially given the off-court noise surrounding DeWanna Bonner’s rumored split and potential trade.
Fast Break Recap: A Brutal Start to the Run
If last run was the season of plenty, this one’s opening act has been far more punishing. With objectives calling for three-pointers and assists yesterday, only 6% of collectors earned a win on Day 1—a jarring contrast from the early 90%+ streaks we saw last time around.
The bright spot was Skylar Diggins, whose 6 assists and lone triple stood tall amidst a sea of underwhelming stat lines. She claims Fast Break Star of the Day status. But things weren’t so rosy for those banking on Allisha Gray. With just 1 assist and 2 threes, her output dragged down 37% of lineups—earning her the dubious Fast Break Dud of the Day. On a night where assists were rare, even one stumble was enough to sink a lineup.
Fast Break Preview: Only Two Games, But Plenty at Stake
Tonight, it’s a lean slate with just two matchups, both tipping off simultaneously at 10:00PM ET | 2:00AM UTC. That means tight windows, limited availability, and little margin for error. Being mindful of injuries will be of paramount importance.
New York, losers of two straight, will look to snap their skid against a confident Golden State squad that’s proven they can punch above their weight. The Liberty can’t afford to overlook the Valkyries, especially in front of a home crowd that’s been electric all season.
In the other game, Las Vegas takes on Connecticut, and the Aces will be eager to rack up another win against the struggling Sun. But with the spotlight on and collectors watching closely, expect surprises to test even the best-built lineups.
If you have not done so already, be sure to set your lineups ahead of time — especially on the single game days. With that said, let’s dive into today’s projections.
Today’s Objective(s):

Tome Collective’s WNBA Fast Break Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):
Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.
Day 1 went poorly and there are touchy days ahead. We mapped this out based on our current collection, so you’ll notice the omission of players like Kayla Thornton and other rookies. If you have them or rares/legendaries, use them. But we planned this out based on season stats with the intent of getting close to the objectives as possible while balancing single uses for each player.
