WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 3 | Day 10
Today’s Objective(s): 4 Three Pointers Made & 45 Points Scored
Recap & Overview:
Atlanta Escapes, Mystics Nearly Pull the Upset
In a thrilling finish, Washington pushed Atlanta to the brink, fueled by standout performances from Shakira Austin, Brittney Sykes, and their emerging rookie duo. Down three with seconds left, Washington had a chance to tie it on a three pointer, but she missed the three; however, Sykes drew a foul as time expired. Needing all three (3) free throws to force OT, the normally reliable 75.5% shooter could only sink 2 of 3, handing Atlanta the narrowest of victories.
It was heartbreak for the Mystics, but a warning shot to the league: they’re ahead of schedule.
Dallas Leans on Paige, Sends Connecticut Spiraling
In the matchup of two-win teams, Dallas proved more composed, especially with Paige Bueckers back in the lineup. Her late-game poise, including the game-sealing bucket with 16 seconds to go, underscored just how much she transforms the Wings’ outlook.
As for Connecticut, the tumble into last place seems inevitable. A late triple made the final score respectable, but the damage was done.
A’ja Returns; Aces Continue to Slide
Even with the return of A’ja Wilson, Las Vegas struggled once again, falling to Seattle 90–83. The Storm took full advantage, controlling pace and punishing the Aces defensively.
With Vegas now under .500, the questions shift from “Will they repeat?” to “Can they stabilize?” There’s time—but not forever.
Fast Break Recap: Return to Form with Over 90% Success
After a rough patch, yesterday’s field goals made + assists challenge brought balance back, with over 90% of collectors notching a win.
Nneka Ogwumike led the way: 11 field goals made and 3 assists, good for 30% and 55% of the objective, respectively. Fast Break Star of the Day, no question.
Arike Ogunbowale, used by many, sputtered with only 2 FGM and 1 assist—enough to drag down lineups and earn her Fast Break Dud of the Day.
Unavailable Players Due to EuroBasket (Group Play until June 22)
Golden State: Janelle Salaun (France), Cecilia Zandalasini (Italy), Juste Jocyte (Lithuania), Julie Vanloo (Belgium), Temi Fagbenle (Great Britain)
Dallas: Teaira McCowan (Turkey), Luisa Geiselsoder (Germany)
Los Angeles: Julie Allemand (Belgium)
Minnesota: Jessica Shepard (Italy)
New York: Leonie Fiebich (Germany)
Los Angeles & Minnesota are the relevant impacts today, so avoid using Allemand & Shepard in your lineups. Of the teams represented, the majority are on track to reach the quarterfinals. Great Britain has been eliminated and will not reach the quarters, so Temi should return to Golden State earlier than the others.
Today’s Objective(s):

Depending on which players you’ve exhausted to date, you’ll need to look further down the list to identify your best options for the day.
