WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 3 | Day 4

Today’s Objective(s): 60 Points Scored

Recap & Overview:

Expected Outcomes, Unexpected Drama

In yesterday’s matchups, the expected winners delivered, with Atlanta securing their seventh victory and Chicago suffering their seventh loss.

The second game was far more dramatic, as Las Vegas entered shorthanded, missing A’ja Wilson due to a concussion. Dallas, meanwhile, saw Paige Bueckers recently return from her own concussion and appeared poised to lead the Wings to their second win of the season.

With four minutes left in the fourth quarter, Dallas held a double-digit lead, seemingly on their way to a statement victory against one of the league’s perennial contenders. However, Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young, and Jewell Loyd engineered a furious 17-2 run, flipping the game in the final five minutes, which culminated in a lead with thirty seconds remaining. Las Vegas escaped with a four-point win, surviving a tough test without their leading scorer. Meanwhile, Dallas let a golden chance slip away, reinforcing their struggles to close out games this season.

Fast Break Recap: Shooting Efficiency Dominates

Day 3’s Fast Break challenge required 20 field goals made and 30 attempts, and collectors responded flawlessly. All five most-utilized players exceeded the necessary threshold, ensuring that there were no Duds on the day.

Rhyne Howard shined, appearing in 58% of lineups and delivering 12 FGM on 25 FGA, earning her the Fast Break Star of the Day.

Fast Break Preview: Points Rule the Day

Today’s challenge simply requires points scored, setting up another high-success day for participants—potentially a fourth straight 90%+ win rate.

However, there’s also the possibility of a trap day, where key players underperform, shrinking the winner’s pool. With seven days remaining after today, lineup decisions should be made with the long run in mind.

Let’s dive into today’s projections and strategy, ensuring you stay ahead of any potential surprises.

Today’s Objective(s):

WNBA Fast Break Day 4 requires five (5) players who will score 60.0 or more points, which means each player will need to average 12.0 PTS. • Day 6 & Day 11 have the most number of teams in action (10+)

  • Every other day has either 4 or 6 teams in action
