WNBA Fast Break Classic | Preseason | Day 3

Today’s Objective(s): 30 Points in the Paint

Recap & Overview:

With only one (1) game on the preseason schedule, player options are limited. With the number of games in one day through the preseason, the guessing game of who are the 1) most capable and 2) playing time needed to accumulate the needed objective. Yesterday, Aliyah Boston came through and delivered 3 assists and 8 rebounds, which earned her the Fast Break Diamond of the Day. Boston and the Fever are in action again today and she is utilized in 28% of today’s lineups. With less than 500 rare moments and a floor of $44, having multiple plays of Boston during Fast Break will be useful (and possibly an advantage for run-based rewards). Same is true for many other players, but many collectors have been positioning themselves for the new WNBA Season for the past couple months and are ahead of the curve.

Want to know which WNBA players you should target? Tome+ members have access to the WNBA Player Targets, which is updated periodically to identify players who are versatile across common Fast Break objectives and their current rare/legendary values. WNBA for the Uninitiated:

For those who are unfamiliar with the WNBA, there are 13 teams in total (including the expansion team Golden State Valkyries), 44 games played by each team, and they play 10-minute quarters. Of the 13 teams, 8 will make the playoffs. This means there are less teams in action each day and there are less games overall, so Fast Break options are much narrower than their NBA counterpart. This makes rare and legendary moments more relevant to earn wins each day for greater flexibility, but it also means you’ll need to be more strategic each run if you’re limited to common moments. It is also worth noting that WNBA moments are more scarce than the NBA as there are only 29K rares and 4K legendaries of active players. If you are a tome+ subscriber, you have access to the WNBA Fast Break Targets that provides a statistical breakdown of the top players and their current rare/legendary prices. Players who are the most versatile across multiple stat categories are the most valuable as they can be played on multiple days based on need.
