NBA Fast Break Classic | Playoffs Round 1 | Day 16

Today’s Objective(s): 25 Field Goals Made & 40 Field Goal Attempts

Recap & Overview:

Game 7—the culmination of a grueling six-game tug-of-war where both teams have traded victories, each claiming three. The anticipation builds, tensions rise, and fans—whether in the arena or watching from home—brace themselves for a dramatic showdown. But instead of a nail-biting finish, the Clippers-Nuggets Game 7 fell flat as Denver took complete control in the third quarter and never looked back. While James Harden wasn’t solely responsible for the Clippers’ downfall, his performance certainly didn’t help - scoring just seven points along with 13 assists. This loss also marked Harden’s fourth career Game 7 defeat with a different team (Rockets in 2018, Nets in 2021, 76ers in 2023, and now Clippers in 2025).

Ben Simmons, interestingly enough, was utilized in 41% of lineups—likely a reflection of collectors digging deep for any viable option as alternatives were limited. Unfortunately, Simmons never saw the court and finished with zero rebounds and zero assists, earning the unenviable Fast Break Dud of the Day.

On the other hand, solid performances came from Russell Westbrook (61% usage), Aaron Gordon (60%), and Christian Braun (49%), each contributing around five rebounds and five assists. However, Ivica Zubac stood out above the rest, securing 14 rebounds and 2 assists, covering nearly 50% of the rebound target. His dominance earned him his final Fast Break Stud of the Day award. Expect Zubac to be a staple in Fast Break lineups next season—and if his rare or legendary cards become available at a discount, collectors should take note.

The last Game 7 of the first round will feature the Warriors and Rockets in a high-stakes battle. Houston, once down three games to one, delivered a stunning performance in San Francisco to extend the series, proving their resilience. Now, Golden State seeks redemption—but they must do it in hostile territory. For the Warriors, they go as Steph goes. If Houston’s relentless defensive pressure continues to disrupt Curry, Golden State will need major contributions from Jimmy Buckets, Draymond Green, and others to pull off an upset against the second-seeded Rockets. Of course, there’s always the chance we witness another jaw-dropping masterpiece from one of basketball’s most legendary shooters.

Before the highly anticipated Steph vs. Sengun showdown, the conference semifinals will kick off earlier in the day with a game between Indiana and Cleveland, expanding lineup options beyond what was originally expected. You’ll find a preview of the upcoming Fast Break series in the grid at the end of the article. When daily objectives drop, we’ll update the grid accordingly.

For now, all eyes are on Warriors-Rockets Game 7, tipping off at 8:30 PM ET | 12:30 AM UTC. Grab your popcorn—it’s shaping up to be a good one.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 16 requires five (5) players who will make 25.0 or more & take 40.0 or more field goals, which means each player will need to average at least 5.0 FGM & 8.0 FGA per player. There are four (4) teams in action today as the first game of the conference semifinals is available today within adversely affecting the next Fast Break series. That means you’ll have more options, but the depth will depend on how many Cleveland & Indiana players you have available in addition to Golden State & Houston (which is likely strained considering the seven total games).

  • Shot Takers & Makers: Stephen Curry, Donovan Mitchell, Pascal Siakam, Alperen Sengun, Darius Garland, Tyrese Haliburton, Evan Mobley

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: E. Mobley (44%), P. Siakam (38%), F. VanVleet (36%), J. Allen (34%), D. Hunter (32%)
