WNBA Fast Break Classic | Preseason | Day 2
Today’s Objective(s): 12 Rebounds & 12 Assists
Recap & Overview:
For those who are unfamiliar with the WNBA, there are 13 teams in total (including the expansion team Golden State Valkyries), 44 games played by each team, and they play 10-minute quarters. Of the 13 teams, 8 will make the playoffs. This means there are less teams in action each day and there are less games overall, so Fast Break options are much narrower than their NBA counterpart. This makes rare and legendary moments more relevant to earn wins each day for greater flexibility, but it also means you’ll need to be more strategic each run if you’re limited to common moments. It is also worth noting that WNBA moments are more scarce than the NBA as there are only 29K rares and 4K legendaries of active players. If you are a tome+ subscriber, you have access to the WNBA Fast Break Targets that provides a statistical breakdown of the top players and their current rare/legendary prices. Players who are the most versatile across multiple stat categories are the most valuable as they can be played on multiple days based on need.
Yesterday, A’ja Wilson was utilized in 66% of lineups and scored 19 points and helped 59% of lineups earn a win and is your top performer. Arike Ogunbowale was found in 65% of lineups, but she could only muster 5 points and is your flop of the day. Considering her track record and that this is preseason, I would not anticipate that to be the norm. Other notable players per team can be found below along with preseason rankings for each WNBA team.
