NBA Fast Break Classic | Conference Finals | Day 3

Today’s Objective(s): 20 Rebounds & 2 Blocks

Recap & Overview:

Pacers Stun Knicks in Game 1 Comeback

The 2025 Eastern Conference Finals opener was an instant classic and will be remembered for years to come (for different reasons). If the Pacers pull off an improbable run to the NBA title (which would be their first ever), Game 1 will be seen as a pivotal moment in their journey. Crazier things have happened, and they’re now just seven wins away from making it a reality.

For Knicks fans, however, it was one of the biggest playoff collapses in recent memory. New York squandered a 14-point lead with five minutes left in the fourth quarter, committing multiple costly miscues that could have put the game out of reach.

After a big Knicks run that expanded their lead late, Indiana answered back, drilling six straight three-pointers to erase the deficit. After OG Anunoby missed one of two free throws with seven seconds to play, Tyrese Haliburton hit a step-back jumper that could have been another game-winner, but his toe barely crossed the line sending the game into overtime.

The Knicks and the Pacers would go back-and-forth throughout the extra frame, but a costly turnover (and another successful challenge), the Pacers would extend the lead to three points. The Knicks still had a chance to extend the game to double-overtime, but Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns each air-balled their three point attempts, while Mikal Bridges coughed up a costly turnover on a scrum. Ultimately Indiana’s ability to capitalize on big-time plays in big-time moments allowed them to steal Game 1 in Madison Square Garden.

Fast Break Recap: A Strong Day for Lineups

Yesterday’s Fast Break objectives required 10 Field Goals Made from 25 Attempts and an overwhelming 98% of Fast Breakers earned a win—partly thanks to overtime.

If you only started Jalen Brunson, you would’ve still secured victory as he knocked down 15 of 25 shots, helping 62% of lineups succeed. With his outstanding performance, he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day.

Since all five of the most-utilized players covered at least 50% of the objective, there were no Duds on the day—a rare but welcome occurrence.

Game 2 Preview: Thunder vs. Timberwolves

Tonight, the Western Conference Finals stays in Oklahoma City, where the Thunder will look to extend their series lead to 2-0 over Minnesota.

The Timberwolves need to replicate their strong first half from Game 1 and avoid another second-half collapse if they have any chance of winning this series. The Paycom Center will undoubtedly be an electric, loud, and boisterous environment, which adds another layer of difficulty for Minnesota, but they’re no strangers to winning in hostile territory as they have already stolen four road wins this postseason. The adjustments they make will likely be the difference between evening the series or going down by two games.

Looking Ahead: Rebounds & Blocks Take Center Stage

Today's and tomorrow's Fast Break objectives require rebounds and blocks. Considering the relatively low threshold, you may not need to field a full five-person team if your collection is limited and you’re not pushing for a daily reward. If, however, you can spare it if you have an extensive collection, then put your best foot forward and go get your daily prize.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 3 requires five (5) players who will secure 20.0 or more rebounds and accumulate 2.0 or more blocks, which means each player will need to average at least 4.0 REB & 0.4 STL. There are only two (2) teams in action today (and every day this run) and this will be the second game of the Western Conference Finals, so you’ll have five uses of players less than you did on Day 1. With at least two (2) more games, be mindful of your available players remaining, which will need to be spread thinner if Minnesota wins today.

  • Little of Both: Chet Holmgren, Rudy Gobert, Isaiah Hartenstein, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels

  • Glass Crashers: Isaiah Hartenstein, Julius Randle, Chet Holmgren, Rudy Gobert, Anthony Edwards

Tome Collective’s Fast Break NBA Playoffs Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.

That’s two wins under our belt, so we’re halfway to our initial objective and five wins until our primary objective. Here’s our lineup for today where we are intentionally starting 3 players who (should) be able to gather 20 rebounds across the threesome. They’ll hopefully add at least two blocks today, also.
