NBA Fast Break Classic | Conference Semifinals | Day 6
Today’s Objective(s): 75 Points Scored & 3 Steals
Recap & Overview:
Denver was humiliated in Game 2, losing by 43 points, and a lesser team would have likely lost the next three games to exit quietly, but a championship-caliber team doesn’t fold that easily. With Nikola Jokic leading the charge, the Nuggets proved their resilience and unwavered. Oklahoma City controlled most of Game 3, keeping the score tight throughout, but never gained the edge they had in Game 2. At the end of the 4th quarter, Denver had another chance to win at the buzzer—this time with Jokic taking the shot instead of Aaron Gordon. His attempt clanged off the back of the rim, sending the game into overtime. But in the extra period the Thunder completely disappeared, scoring just two points, while Denver surged ahead to a 113-104 victory. Game 4 is set for tomorrow.
In the early game, Cleveland welcomed back Mobley, Garland, and Hunter, and their return provided the spark the Cavaliers needed to secure their first win of the series. The first quarter was a deadlock at 34-34, but Cleveland dominated the second, building a 20-point lead. Unlike many teams this round, the Cavs held firm, never allowing the Pacers within 10 points for the rest of the game. So far, the road team has won every game in this series, and Cleveland hopes to continue that trend tomorrow, while Indiana are hoping to make the necessary adjustments to win one at home before going back to Cleveland.
Now, let’s talk Fast Break.
Yesterday’s objective was three-pointers, and while shooting volume has skyrocketed this season, Fast Break days tend to produce lower-than-expected results. But yesterday was an anomaly as 72% of participants secured a win thanks to Donovan Mitchell, who singlehandedly carried 89% of lineups with five (5) made threes on 13 attempts. With his stellar performance, he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day award. On the other end, Tyrese Haliburton (82%) and Isaiah Joe (55%) combined for just one attempt and zero makes, making them the co-Duds of the Day.
Looking ahead, Boston faces a must-win situation to avoid going down 3-0 in the series. They’ve been stronger on the road wheras New York has struggled at home, so the Celtics may have an edge today. If the game is close late, Boston should be wary of Mikal Bridges, who has been a defensive menace.
Meanwhile, Golden State remains without Steph Curry, and although they’re playing at home, home-court advantage hasn’t meant much this round. The Warriors need someone to step up, as road teams have dominated most matchups.
The first game tips off early—set your lineups and enjoy the action.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 6 requires five (5) players who will score 75.0 or more points and accumulate 3.0 or more steals, which means each player will need to average at least 15.0 PTS & 0.6 STL per player. There are four (4) teams in action today and your player options should manageable, but things will get tighter with each passing day as each series gets extended further. Today’s point total is low relative to the normal playoff requirement of 100, so you may not need to use your top options if you need to conserve. The challenge though, is getting the three (3) steals.

Aside for MPJ yesterday, all our other players did next to nothing from the three point line. So, we are stuck at one (1) win and the 7-wins are becoming less and less a likelihood. But, we press on. Here is our lineup today.
