NBA Fast Break Classic | Playoffs Round 1 | Day 13
Today’s Objective(s): 10 Three Pointers Made & 25 Three Point Attempts
Recap & Overview:
In a closeout game on the road against the Los Angeles Lakers where Anthony Edwards struggled to find his rhythm, Rudy Gobert anchored their win with 27 points and 24 rebounds. This stat line also helped the 22% of lineups who utilized Rudy for Fast Break as this covered 68.6% of yesterday’s rebound objective. Since Gobert wasn’t one of the most utilized players though, he is simply an honorable mention for Day 12’s top award. The Fast Break Stud of the Day honor goes to Alperen Sengun, who had 9 rebounds for a Rockets team who were on the brink of elimination and for the 33% of Fast Breakers who had him in their lineup. Houston survived another day and will need to win the next two (2) games if they want to move onto the next round against the Timberwolves.
On the other end of the spectrum and on the other side of the Rockets-Warriors blowout was Draymond Green who was found in 43% of lineups, yet could only gather a single rebound. As each player needed at least seven (7) on the day to earn a win, he effectively sank the hopes of almost half the Fast Break lineups. In total, only 24% of Fast Breakers would earn a win yesterday and a large portion of that low win total was thanks to Draymond. With that said, he is your unanimous Fast Break Dud of the Day.
With only four (4) days remaining in this run and likely less considering the number of games that have the ability to go to game 7, you’ll need to be across the seven win threshold or at most one win away. Today’s objective of three pointers could be your last opportunity to move up the rankings and/or score a daily reward. For the run-based rewards, the top 100 are where you’re striving to achieve. To date there are no more perfect records this run, but there are only three (3) Fast Breakers who have 11 wins to their name (one loss) and 29 others who have ten (10) wins. That means to sniff the top 100, you would need at least nine (9) wins to have a chance…that is unless the next couple days have low win totals and you’re on the right side of that equation.
Note that this will be deeply impacted by the outcome of today’s two games. Should New York or Denver both win on the road, they will move onto the next round and there would be no games on Day 15. Tomorrow’s showdown in the Bay Area will determine whether there will be a game scheduled on Day 16. Regardless of the outcome, these playoffs have already produced some memorable moments, so sit back and enjoy more exciting postseason basketball and hopefully earn a win along the way.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 13 requires five (5) players who will make 10.0 or more and take 25.0 or more three pointers, which means each player will need to average at least 2.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA per player. With only four (4) teams in action and the last day where more than 1 game will be scheduled, your options are limited (and will be from here on out). At this point of Fast Break, your collection is likely already strained, which is apparent considering the top players utilized today. If you’ve already reached your seven (7) wins, the rest is survival each day and hoping you earn a spot on the overall leaderboards or daily rankings.
Shot Makers & Takers from Outside: Malik Beasley, Jamal Murray, Tim Hardaway, James Harden, Norman Powell
Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: OG Anunoby (66%), T. Hardaway Jr. (61%), B. Bogdanovic (43%), M. Bridge (41%), M. Porter Jr. (41%)
NBA Playoffs:
Looking Ahead:
Tomorrow: Points in the Paint (how many of each is TBD)
After Today (objective frequency; excluding today’s objective): STL, 3PM, 3PA, FGM, FGA, AST, REB
Considerations:
Five (5) teams have advanced (OKC, CLE, BOS, IND, & MIN)
Three series remain (Knicks/Pistons; Nuggets/Clippers; Houston/Golden State)
Day 14 will only have one (1) scheduled game
Day 15-16 will depend on the result on Day 13 & 14
Day 14-16 have the correct objectives & badges, but the required thresholds will be updated (more than 1 will be needed)

That’s three straight losses after we secured our seventh win. There’s a chance we earn a win today, but it would require some luck or at least one of these players to go on a hot streak. We’ll see if that pans out.
