NBA Fast Break Play-In Tournament | Day 2

Today’s Objective(s): 10 Three Pointers Made & 25 Three Point Attempts

Overview:

After an exciting first day of the Play-In Tournament where the Orlando Magic dominated the Atlanta Hawks and the Golden State Warriors survived the Memphis Grizzles, we have our first elimination game of this postseason. The winner of Miami @ Chicago and Dallas @ Sacramento will play their next elimination game on Friday against Atlanta and Memphis respectively.

Only 69 lineups (2%) had Cole Anthony as one of the top scorers and only one of these collectors had the top five scorers selected. The first (Curry), fifth (Trae), sixth (Jimmy), eighth (Bane), and fifteenth (Cole) most utilized players won the day, which gives you a sense of how the two remaining days of the Play-In Tournament will go. Do you select the highest averages? Do you include a dark horse to potentially land in the top five? Do you have low serials that’ll carry you if the most utilized carry the day? The goal is the reach the top 50. Earning a win is nice, but has no rewards connected to it.

Typically three point days require at least 15.0 3PM, but today you’ll only need 10.0. That means the differentiator will likely be 3PA, so you’ll want to include players who are known to attempt many, many three pointers in a game. The challenge, though, is identifying the five players who attempt the most (while making at least 10).

If you have not seen it already, there is a bracket challenge for the NBA Playoffs with prizes attached. Choose your winners of each round and follow along throughout the playoffs. The Western Conference could arguably have any of the top eight teams make the Finals whereas the Eastern Conference is likely limited to three viable options. Be sure to fill out a bracket and dive into the projections below and pick your lineup for today.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 2 requires five (5) players who will make 10.0 or more and attempt 25.0 or more three pointers, which means each player will need to average at least 2.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA. As there are only rewards for daily winners, earning a win is irrelevant. Your goal is to select the top five players in both makes and attempts. Keep in mind there are no run-based rewards, but players you select today could limit your options on Day 3 (if they win today).
