NBA Fast Break Run 13 | Day 10
Today’s Objective(s): 50 Points in the Paint & 12 Offensive Rebounds
Recap & Overview:
The top five players utilized yesterday were Jaren Jackson, Brook Lopez, Myles Turner, Nic Claxton, & Dyson Daniels and each were found in at least 40% of lineups. Jaren (2 steals), Myles (5 blocks), Nic (3 steals), and Dyson (2 blocks, 1 steal) had varying levels of contribution, but Myles single-handedly covered the entire blocks objective, so he is your Fast Break Stud of the Day. Alternatively, Lopez appeared in 61% of lineups and couldn’t muster a single block or steal, but Milwaukee erased a 24-point deficit in the 4th quarter against the Timberwolves and miraculously earned an important win to stay ahead of Detroit in the race for 5th place in the East. Brook’s underperformance hamstrung many lineups, so he is your Fast Break Dud of the Day.
As only 35% of lineups walked away with a win on Day 9, there has only been one day (11%) this run where more than 35% of lineups earned a win. Relative to prior Fast Break runs, this is one of the most grueling series this season and many are struggling just to reach the 7-win target. Of the remaining four days, there are at least two days where we’ll likely see close to what we’ve experienced to date - especially considering the end of season volatility as many top teams will rest their top players. The number of perfect records have also shrunk to a single collector. The top reward is also theirs to lose. So long as they continue their impressive streak during one of the most difficult Fast Break series, the top prize is theirs for the taking.
Note that every team not in action today will be playing tomorrow and all teams will be playing the last two days. Review your remaining lineups and adjust accordingly. Also check back daily to confirm the players in your lineups are, in fact, playing that day. Be acutely aware of team announcements and players who will be active or not as it could be the difference between winning and losing. Let’s dive into today’s objectives and projections to maximize your chances of winning.

Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 10 requires five (5) players who will score 50.0 or more points in the paint and gather 12.0 or more offensive rebounds, which means each player will need to average at least 10.0 PITP & 2.4 OREB. These two stats are correlated and there are multiple players who have the ability to cover both objectives. There are also slashing guard arch-types who have a high PITP average, but does not have a high offensive rebound tally. You can either utilize players who can deliver both objectives or moneyball it to identify specialists in either category.
Little of Both: Ivica Zubac, Domantas Sabonis, Alperen Sengun, Nikola Jokic, Jakob Poeltl
Inside Scorers: Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, LeBron James, Franz Wagner, Paolo Banchero, DeMar DeRozan, Domantas Sabonis, Anthony Davis, Alperen Sengun, Ivica Zubac
(Offensive) Glass Crashers: Donovan Clingan, Ivica Zubac, Domantas Sabonis, Wendell Carter, Adem Bona, Oscar Tshiebwe, Steven Adams, Nick Richards, Alperen Sengun, Jakob Poeltl
Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: A. Sengun (75%), D. Sabonis (58%), I. Zubac (43%), M. Williams (41%), N. Jokic (37%)
Pro Mode Limitations: Challenge & Crafting Reward Badge
Looking Ahead:
Tomorrow: 35 Assists will be the single objective; 10 teams in action
Objectives frequency (after today): FGM, FGA, AST, 3PM, PTS
Considerations:
All teams have three (3) games remaining
Eleven (11) teams are playing the tail-end of a back-to-back
3 of the last 4 days have 20 or more teams in action (including today) & the final two days have all teams in action; Day 11 is the exception
4 of 4 days this run will have a single objective (or resembles a single objective)
Pro mode has a different limitation each day; it also has different objectives compared to Classic
NBA Playoff Picture:
Eastern Conference: With Milwaukee’s miraculously comeback win against the Timberwolves, the Bucks extend their lead over Detroit for the 5th seed. With Indy’s 5th straight win, they are only two games behind New York, but they only have three games remaining on their schedule, so the chances of leapfrogging the Knicks aren’t great but there’s still a chance. Atlanta, Chicago, and Miami have secured their spot in the Play-In Tournament, but final seeding is still in flux.
Western Conference: The Clippers have won five straight to move up to 4th place in the West, ahead of a Denver team in turmoil as they’ve lost 4 straight and just fired their head coach. Golden State remains in 6th an Memphis moved up to 7th after a disastrous loss against the surging Bucks. Phoenix’s 7th straight loss also officially eliminated them from the Play-In Tournament. Seeds 3 through 8 are only separated by two games, so there will be some volatility in the Western Conference standings.
Statistical Approach:
Top players in projected points in the paint & offensive rebounds according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ subscribers, projected rest-of-season stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Tome Collective’s Fast Break Run 13 Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):
Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.
Myles helped us secure the block objective by himself and Nic covered 60% of the steals objective. Sprinkle in OG and we earned a win yesterday. Jaden & Dyson were icing on the cake to help us secure win #7. So long as AD plays, we feel good about Day 10. Four more wins needed to reach the 11-win reward.
