NBA Fast Break Run 13 | Day 1
Pick 5 Players who will combine for 15 Three Pointers Made & 25 Three Point Attempts to earn your win.
Overview:
As one Fast Break run ends, another begins - this time, Pro Mode has less daily winners and less overall winners, but rewards were expanded. For Classic Mode, daily winners shrink to Top 250, but run-based rewards were expanded to include packs. In the Classic Mode, you can get away with having a common-only collection and earn decent rewards as demonstrated by our Common Only Challenge, but capturing a low-end daily reward has now become more difficult. Serials are gaining greater importance as tie-breakers for rewards are utilized more heavily.
Pro Mode, however, is already difficult as it requires specific sets or badges to participate, which often come with a higher price tag (especially the rare moments) and inevitably leads to higher price action on those moments. Low serials are also relevant here as you cannot rely on a Legendary moment to embed a low serial for a tie-breaker. As introduced in Run 12, this run also has a limiter each day where Top Shot Debut badge (3x), Rookie Year badge (3x), Challenge Reward (2x), Metallic Gold (2x), Crunch Time (1x), Video Game Numbers (1x), and Throwdowns (1x) will be needed to participate.
If you are a tome+ subscriber, you have access to our dedicated Pro Mode articles along with access to multiple resources including Witty’s Fast Break Targets which has two iterations - one for the NBA and one for the WNBA. These resources are updated about once every two weeks during the season, but they can be updated as requested by our readers. In addition, tome+ subscribers have access to Witty’s Cheat Sheet which maps out the thirteen (13) days of this run to help you plan accordingly. If you are not a tome+ subscriber, a single rare moment (NBA or WNBA) grants you access for three (3) months. Otherwise, $4.99 per month or $12.99 for three months will grant you access.
Our daily standard article, which offers the same daily content minus the expanded data and player options, will continue to be available at no cost. Additionally, you can follow along with our daily lineups.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 1 requires five (5) players who will make 15.0 and take 25.0 or more three pointers, which means your lineup will need to average 3.0 3PM and 5.0 3PA per player. The former is the only stat that matters for the win, but the latter will help you rise in the overall rankings on the day. Although there are more three point attempts this season than any season before, there are no guarantees your five will make the needed three pointers. Ideally at least one will make more in the event someone in your lineup has an off night.
Outside Snipers: Luka Doncic, Coby White, Derrick White, Jalen Green, Jayson Tatum, Tyler Herro, James Harden, Jordan Poole
Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: J. Poole (67%), T. Herro (59%), D. White (57%), L. Doncic (53%), J. Tatum (53%)
Pro Mode Limitations: Top Shot Debut
Looking Ahead:
Tomorrow, 45 Rebounds will be the single objective; 14 teams in action
Objectives frequency (after today):
3x: PTS
2x: AST, STL, BLK, PIP, 3PM
1x: REB, FGM, FGA, OREB, AST-TO, 3PA
Considerations:
Fourteen (14) teams have the least number of games this run (7)
Sixteen (16) teams have the most number of games this run (8)
All teams will be active on Day 12 & Day 13
Day 8 only has 4 teams in action, but the objective is lower than usual
Day 6 & 11 only has 10 teams in action
There are five days where there are 20 or more teams in action
9 of 13 days this run will have a single objective (or resembles a single objective)
Assists minus turnovers & +/- are not included as objectives continue to be MIA; Steals is not included this run either
Pro mode has a different limitation each day; it also has different objectives compared to Classic
NBA Playoff Picture:
As the run progresses, be mindful of teams who are in tank-mode (i.e. would prefer to lose for better draft positioning) as well as those who have nothing to gain by playing (Cleveland is 4.5 games ahead of Boston who is 8.0 games ahead of New York in the East and Oklahoma City has clinched the first overall in the West).
Statistical Approach:
Top players in projected three pointers made & three point attempts according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 games, and rest of season projections, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ subscribers, projected rest-of-season stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Tome Collective’s Fast Break Run 13 Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):
Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.
Fresh run means a new opportunity to maximize our rewards. There will be changes along the way, but we’ve outlined the run based on projections where we use each player only once. Our primary objective is the 7-win reward with a stretch goal of 11-wins.
