NBA Fast Break Run 11 | Day 8
Pick 5 Players who will combine for 15 Three Pointers Made & 25 Three Point Attempts to earn your win.
Recap & Overview:
We are officially at the midway point of this series. In review of Day 7, it was not the trap that it could have been as assists were in abundance relative to the reasonable objective. In total, 92% earned a win including all but one of the 291 who were perfect through the previous day. Although there weren’t many players to choose from, the ones that you could choose came through.
Of the top five players utilized, James Harden was included in 84% of of lineups and single-handedly covered 68% of the 25 required assists, which earned himself the Fast Break Stud of the Day. Honorable mention goes to both Darius Garland and Tyrese Haliburton as both delivered assists and game winners in their respective games. There’s a good chance at least one of them ends up a freshly minted ‘For the Win’ moment, which would be a nice addition to many collections. Schroder, on the other hand, was utilized in 32% of lineups and produced the least number of assists of the top five, so he earns the Fast Break Dud of the Day by default.
In the 2024-2025 season, there are 37.6 three pointers attempted per game, which would be a record. By comparison, the next highest is 35.2 which was registered in the 2021-2022 season and 35.1 last year. Although three pointers are flying at will, this day has surprisingly become one of the more volatile as 15.0 from five players isn’t a given. One player either hitting one or none immediately creates a hole for your lineup. On days like today where you don’t have truly reliable outside shooters. Of the nine games today, Klay Thompson and Anfernee Simons will be the most utilized. If either has an abysmal day from outside, expect a low win rate. If they both excel, the win rate will rise with them. Buckle up. Today’s going to be another volatile one.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 8 requires five (5) players who will sink 15.0 or more three pointers and 25.0 or more three point attempts, which means your lineup will need to average 3.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA per player. Although there are two objectives, only one matters as the latter is more a formality considering you need to take the shot before you can make it. And if you’ve been paying attention to the NBA, players take a lot of shots from beyond the arc. Attempts, though, will be the differentiating factor for rankings.
Outside Snipers: Klay Thompson, Derrick White, Anfernee Simons, Jayson Tatum, Anthony Edwards, James Harden
Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: A. Simons (63%), K. Thompson (62%), A. Edwards (54%), D. White (46%), T. Herro (39%)
Pro Mode Limitations: Throwdown Rare
Looking Ahead:
Tomorrow: 40 FGM will be the single objective; 10 teams in action
Objectives frequency (after today):
2x: PIP, FGM
1x: PTS, OREB, FGA, BLK, STL, AST
Considerations:
Cleveland has the least number of games remaining (2)
Eleven (11) teams have the most number of games remaining (4)
LA Clippers are playing the tail-end game of a back-to-back today
Day 9 (tomorrow) has the least number of teams in action (10 teams), so your lineup options will be more limited
Day 10 & 13 have the most teams in action (20+), so your lineup options will be the most expansive
Boston’s last game this run lands on Day 11
3 of the remaining 6 days will have a single objective (or resembles a single objective)
Assists minus turnovers & +/- are not included as objectives again
Pro mode has additional limitations on Day 8 (Throwdown Rare), Day 10 (Metallic Gold Rare), & Day 13 (For the Win Rare)

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.
With Russell ruled out, we turned to Zion Williamson since we were limited on player options. As was the case for the large majority, we walked away a winner, which marks our 6th overall and one win away from our primary objective. It also gives us a glimmer of hope for our stretch goal of 11 wins. Today will be key to that objective as our room for error is very slim.
