NBA Fast Break Run 11 | Day 7

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 25 Assists to earn your win.

Recap & Overview:

There are seven days remaining in this run, which means we’re one day from the midpoint of this series. Of the 508 perfect records yesterday, only 291 remain as only 41% of participants earned a win. This also means that a single loss keeps you on track to earn $10+ Dapper Credit based on run-based rewards. Stay and jump into the top 680 to earn at least this amount. The higher you rank, the more you’ll earn which can be spent on the NBA Top Shot Marketplace or on secondaries like flowty.io, which celebrated it’s 1 millionth transaction late yesterday. If you are on X, you’ll notice multiple shopping spree giveaways - be sure to enter all of them to increase your odds of earning one of these opportunities. Which moments you’ll buy will depend on your prioritization of Fast Break, collectability (including other collections), or a little of both.

Of the five most utilized players yesterday, Franz Wagner was the fifth most popular…and subsequently let down the 39% of Fast Breakers who started him as he could only muster 15 points against a Houston team who won by double digits. For this performance and the 10 point deficit he caused in many lineups, he is your Fast Break Dud of the Day. Honorable mention goes to De’Aaron Fox who had a similar performance. On the other hand, both Joker & KD scored 35 points and helped cover deficits like Franz & Fox. For their outstanding performance, they are your co-Fast Break Studs of the Day.

With only 8 teams in action today, you have very few options. With that said, let’s dive into today’s objective.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 7 requires five (5) players who will distribute 25.0 or more assists, which means your lineup will need to average 5.0 AST per player. A single objective that isn’t daunting compared to the previous few, but one that could very well be a trap day if you don’t have the optimal players for the day considering the scarce number of games today. Harden is a must-start, especially if Haliburton is out another game due to his hip issue (4th in a row in he’s ruled out). Garland is another top option considering most will use Cade for his other contributions. Every other choice in your lineup will depend on 1) who’s available to play and 2) who’s available in your lineup.

  • Distributors: James Harden, Tyrese Haliburton, Cade Cunningham, Darius Garland

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: D. Garland (90%), J. Harden (85%), C. Cunningham (56%), D. Russell (48%), D. Lillard (35%)

  • Pro Mode Limitations: N/A (Day 8)

Looking Ahead:

  • Tomorrow, 15 3PM & 25 3PA will be the two objectives; 18 teams in action

  • Objectives frequency (after today):

    • 2x: PIP, FGM

    • 1x: PTS, OREB, FGA, 3PM, 3PA, BLK, STL, AST

Considerations:

  • Twelve (12) teams have the least number of games remaining (3)

  • Eighteen (18) teams have the most number of games remaining (4)

  • Brooklyn, Indiana, & Washington are playing the tail-end game of a back-to-back today

  • Day 7 (today) & Day 9 (Mar 13th) have the least number of teams in action (8 & 10 respectively), so your lineup options will be more limited on these days

  • Day 10 & 13 have the most teams in action (20+), so your lineup options will be the most expansive

  • Boston’s last game this run lands on Day 11

  • 4 of the remaining 7 days will have a single objective (or resembles a single objective)

  • Assists minus turnovers & +/- are not included as objectives again

  • Pro mode has additional limitations on Day 8 (Throwdown Rare), Day 10 (Metallic Gold Rare), & Day 13 (For the Win Rare)

Statistical Approach:

Top players in projected assists according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 games, and rest of season projections, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ subscribers, projected rest-of-season stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Tome Collective’s Fast Break Run 11 Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.

Tatum was ruled out, so we shifted to De’Aaron Fox…and almost lost due to his putrid performance (14 points). It required every bit of Book, KAT, and Jamal Murray to survive today. Fortunately, survive we did. Day 7 feels more promising, but could very well be a trap day considering the limited games scheduled today.
