Recap & Overview:
The up and down trend broke as we had a consecutive down day, but higher than the previous day with 40% of Fast Breakers earning a win. With the remaining three days and based on typical trends, we’ll have less than 50% earn wins from here on out unless the top utilized player has an outstanding day (like Steph yesterday).
Steph was utilized in about 80% of lineups and he came up big as he delivered 5 3PM and 13 3PA and helped most (if not all) of the 40% earn a win, so he is your clear Fast Break Stud of the Day. On the other hand, Fred VanVleet was utilized in 41% of lineups and he took five (5) three point attempts, but could only find the bottom of the net once. Congratulations to FVV on earning the Fast Break Dud of the Day award. Honorable mention goes to Tyrese Maxey who took an eye-popping 11 3PA…and didn’t make a single one. Great for daily rankings; terrible for earning a win.
There remains a single perfect record of 11 wins with only five (5) sitting in the wings with ten (10) wins. They’ll need to survive three more days to secure the top prize. For the rest of us, we are clawing for positioning on the overall rewards and many are scrapping for the 11 or 7-win rewards. Let’s get another much needed win today.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 12 requires five (5) players who will accumulate 5.0 or more blocks and gather 5.0 or more steals, which means your lineup will need to average 1.0 BLK & 1.0 STL per player. These two stats are infrequently correlated and very few who are projected to give you both while doing so over their last 10 games. Scottie Barnes is the only player who meets both of these criteria for both blocks and steals. If you don’t have Scottie available, taking a moneyball approach is your best bet for the day. Find specialists who can give you more than 1.0 and hope your overall total exceeds 5.0 per objective.
