NBA Fast Break Run 10 | Day 11

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 15 Three Pointers Made and 20 Assists to earn your win.

Recap & Overview:

The up and down trend continued as there were only 21% of participants who earned a win. However, there still remains a single perfect record, but there are only ten (10) Fast Breakers with a single loss. With four days remaining, the top reward will likely be earned by one of these participants.

There were two (2) players who scored more than 40 points, five (5) scored more than 30 points, and nine (9) who scored more than 25 points. Donovan Mitchell was one of those 40-point players, so 30% of the lineups who utilized him were in a better position than most. Considering his being a top-five player utilized, he earned yesterday’s Fast Break Stud of the Day award. Unfortunately, all four (4) of the other top utilized players scored less than 25 points, but Cam Thomas, Devin Booker, & Jaren Jackson all scored 16, 17, & 18 points respectively so they collectively earned the Fast Break Dud of the Day award.

Less players available in your collection. Plenty of challenge and difficulty remaining. If the trend continues, today will be a positive day overall, but there’s a higher likelihood of broad failure. All you can do is put your best foot forward and hope for the best.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 11 requires five (5) players who will make 15.0 or more three pointers made and accumulate 20.0 or more assists, which means your lineup will need to average 3.0 3PM & 4.0 AST per player. Day 2 and Day 6 also required 15.0 3PM and both days had 9% & 25% win rates…and today layers on assists. Although these two stats are not correlated, there are a handful of players who have the capability of achieving today’s objectives, but you can also moneyball it and lean on specialists.

  • Little of Both: Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, Kyrie Irving

  • Outside Snipers: Stephen Curry, Malik Beasley, Damian Lillard

  • Distributors: Cade Cunningham, Chris Paul, LaMelo Ball, Ja Morant, Damian Lillard, Tyrese Maxey, De'Aaron Fox, Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Malik Monk, Desmond Bane, Draymond Green, Domantas Sabonis

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: S. Curry (80%), K. Irving (47%), D. Lillard (43%), K. Thompson (36%), J. Green (33%)

Looking Ahead:

  • Tomorrow, 5 blocks & 5 steals will be the two objectives; 18 teams in action

  • Objectives frequency (after today): OREB, BLK, PIP, STL, FGM

Considerations:

  • Boston & Denver have the least number of games remaining (1)

  • Golden State, Houston, Philadelphia, & San Antonio teams have the most number of games remaining (3)

  • Brooklyn, Detroit, & Memphis are playing the tail-end game of a back-to-back today

  • Boston & Denver’s last game this run lands on Day 12

  • One of the remaining four days this run will have a single objective (or resembles a single objective)

  • Assists minus turnovers & +/- are not included as objectives for Run 10

  • Pro mode has additional limitations on Day 12 (Rookie year badge) & Day 14 (Throwdowns)

Statistical Approach:

When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ subscribers, projected rest-of-season stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Tome Collective’s Fast Break Run 10 Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.

Cade’s been on fire lately. He felt like a safe choice on a points day…but wrong we were as he only had 11 points today. That means the final four days need to be wins for us to reach the 11-win reward. Buckle up - it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
