NBA Fast Break Run 10 | Day 10

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 125 Points Scored to earn your win.

Recap & Overview:

The up and down trend continues as the past eight (8) days has seen a see-saw of majority green (wins) and majority purple (losses). Although there are a lot of games today (10), that does not mean there are an abundance of consistently high scorers. Said differently, there are only three (3) players who are projected to score more than 25.0 points and only 14 who have done so over their last 10 games. Considering the variance of lineups due to collection limitations, there is a high probability there will be a less than 50% success rate today.

Giannis single-handedly covered a little under half of the needed rebounds as he accumulated 19, which earns him the Fast Break Stud of the Day. On the other hand, Goga Bitadze only had five (5) rebounds on the day whereas everyone else in the top five had at least 10, which earned him the Fast Break Dud of the Day. No matter though as there were a bountiful number of players who were crashing the glass like there was no tomorrow - 16 total had at least 10 rebounds. All in all, a solid night.

There still remains one perfect record and there still remains 30 sharks circling the water waiting for the singular to falter. The current #1 has five days of survival, but its theirs to lose at this point. Next up, a very tough 125.0 points scored. Let’s dive in.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 10 requires five (5) players who will accumulate 125.0 or more points scored, which means your lineup will need to average 25.0 PTS per player. Although a straightforward objective, it is markedly more challenging as the series progresses considering the limitations of collections become more impactful. You can see those limitations in the top players utilized today as none are present in more than 50% of lineups which is very uncommon in Fast Break.

  • Point Scorers: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Cade Cunningham, Jalen Brunson

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: D. Booker (44%), N. Jokic (38%), J. Jackson (35%), Z. Williamson (28%), D. Mitchell (28%)

  • Pro Mode: Top Shot Debut (TSD) badge

Looking Ahead:

  • Tomorrow, 15 three pointers made & 20 assists points will be the two objectives; 12 teams in action

  • Objectives frequency (after today): OREB, BLK, PIP, 3PM, STL, FGM

Considerations:

  • Eight (8) teams have the least number of games remaining (2)

  • Twenty-two (22) teams have the most number of games remaining (3)

  • Denver, LA Lakers, Minnesota, New Orleans, & Phoenix are playing the tail-end game of a back-to-back today

  • Boston & Denver’s last game this run lands on Day 12

  • Two of the remaining five days this run will have a single objective (or resembles a single objective)

  • Assists minus turnovers & +/- are not included as objectives for Run 10

  • Pro mode has additional limitations on Day 12 (Rookie year badge) & Day 14 (Throwdowns)

Statistical Approach:

Top players in projected points scored according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 games, and rest of season projections, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ subscribers, projected rest-of-season stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Tome Collective’s Fast Break Run 10 Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.

As expected, we came up short on Day 8 and are now outside the top 200. With two losses, we have one more mulligan in order to achieve our stretch goal of 11-wins. That means we’ll need to win 4 of the remaining 5 days and it’ll be a battle to the end. There will inevitably be adjustments over the next five days, so fingers crossed we make it.
