NBA Fast Break Run 9 | Day 14

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 20 Rebounds and 20 Assists to earn your win.

Recap & Overview:

We’ve reached the end of another exciting Fast Break series. Overall, it was not as difficult as Run 8, but the inclusion of AST-TO and +/- made it much more difficult to reach the 11-win threshold. To date, there are no perfect runs remaining, but we do have ten participants who have 12-wins under their belt. Our overall winner will undoubtedly come from this group, but there will be movement amongst the remaining 1,500 top overall spots. 122 total participants have reached the second highest pack reward with their 11+ wins and there’s 494 more who are a win away from earning the same reward. Good luck for those of you sitting on 10 wins.

Usually toward the tail end of a run, having 50% or more winners is infrequent. But we achieved that mark yesterday as 61% of participants earned a win thanks to some key three point shooters. Jordan Poole stands out as he was utilized in 33% of lineups and delivered six (6) three pointers out of 15 attempts which accounted for 40% of the day’s primary objective. Rightfully, he earned yesterday’s Fast Break Stud of the Day award but Lauri Markkenen was a close second with his 6 of 10 shooting from outside. Honorable mention goes to Jamal Murray who scored a personal best 55 points and drained seven (7) three pointers. He was not one the most utilized players, but that was an amazing achievement for him nonetheless. On the other side of the coin was Donovan Mitchell who made two (2) three pointers out of nine (9) attempts. Yes, it’s not far off the pace, but it was also the worst performance of the top five yesterday, so he’s your Fast Break Dud of the Day.

We’ve had no breaks between each of the past nine Fast Break runs. Take a breather, enjoy the All-Star festivities, and get ready for the second half of the season and NBA playoffs. Put your best foot forward today and earn a win for some momentum going into Run 10.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 14 requires five (5) players who will make gather 20.0 or more rebounds and distribute 20.0 or more assists, which means your lineup will need to average 4.0 REB & 4.0 AST per player. There are players who have the ability to accumulate both stats, but your alternative option is to utilize specialists who can give you a higher volume of each. Regardless of your approach, put your best foot forward with the projections outlined below.

  • Little of Both: Domantas Sabonis, James Harden, Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson, Kyrie Irving, Tyler Herro

  • Glass Crasher: Alperen Sengun, Domantas Sabonis, Ivica Zubac, Rudy Gobert, Amen Thompson, Walker Kessler, Isaiah Hartenstein, Bam Adebayo

  • Distributor: James Harden, Malik Monk, Isaiah Collier, Domantas Sabonis, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyler Herro, Mike Conley, Stephen Curry

  • Top Five (5) Players in FB Lineups: D. Green (55%), B. Adebayo (55%), M. Monk (45%), D. Sabonis (40%), J. Harden (39%)

Tome Collective’s Fast Break Run 9 Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.

We are one win away from 11 wins! With Fox’s departure to San Antonio, we needed a different option. Jimmy has been playing well in Golden State, so he was added in. We added Malik as he’s stepped into the extra playing time in Sacramento. 20 rebounds should be covered, but the 20 assists will be the stat that will potentially hold us back. Fingers crossed.
