NBA Fast Break Run 8 | Day 10
Pick 5 Players who will combine for 15 Offensive Rebounds & 60 Points in the Paint to earn your win.
Recap & Overview:
Of the over 5,500 lineups set yesterday, only 178 walked away unscathed. Popular lineups included Houston Rockets & Milwaukee Bucks players - especially as they were clear favorites in their matchups (Houston won by 4 and Milwaukee lost by 13)…and they did not come through at all. A popular approach to the always volatile +/- day is selecting players from a single lineup. Few went with an all-76ers lineup as they were missing Embiid & Paul George again, but turned out to be a winning strategy and an all-Warriors lineup also fared well even though they were missing Draymond & Curry.
Based on the outcome of yesterday’s Fast Break, Giannis was one of the most utilized players yesterday as he was included in 36% of lineups, but produced a jarring -11 plus/minus which earns him the Fast Break Dud of the Day. Brooks & Sengun were also heavily utilized and they landed at -8 & -5 plus/minus respectively. Honorable mention for the worst performance on the day goes to Jaxson Hayes who had an eye-popping -19 plus/minus, though. In terms of positive performances, Fred VanVleet was one of the bright spots yesterday as he delivered a respectable +7 plus/minus which earns him the Fast Break Stud of the Day with honorable mentions going to multiple 76ers & Warriors players.
The remaining two days require two objectives apiece, but technically the final day will be based on three pointers made whereas field goal attempts will be more of formality than true hurdle. Today, you’ll need a lineup that focuses on offensive rebounds & points in the paint. Compared the past few days this run, it’ll be a welcome change. After a tough Day 9, there are officially no players who have a chance at the perfect run. If you have at least seven (7) wins at this point, you still have an opportunity to earn the 9-win reward or if you have four or more wins, you can earn the 6-win pack. Let’s dive into the stats.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 10 requires five (5) players who will accumulate 15.0 or more offensive rebounds and score 60.0 or more points in the paint, which means your lineup will need to average 3.0 OREB & 12.0 PIP per player. There are some players who have the capability to deliver on both fronts, but alternatively some lineups will include a mixture of specialists in either category. Sabonis is a clear favorite on the day as he can score while grabbing offensive rebounds. Other notable players include Zubac, Zion, KAT, Joker, Gafford, and Poeltl. No matter which approach you take, utilize the quick summary below or scroll further for the data for today.
Little of Both: Domantas Sabonis, Zion Williamson, Ivica Zubac, Karl-Anthony Towns
Offensive Glass Crashers: Domantas Sabonis, Jalen Duren, Daniel Gafford, Ivica Zubac, Jakob Poeltl, Isaiah Hartenstein, Karl-Anthony Towns, Nick Richards, Zion Williamson, Jarrett Allen, Day'Ron Sharpe
Scorers from Inside: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic, Zion Williamson, Kevin Durant, Cade Cunningham, DeMar DeRozan, Tyrese Maxey, Nikola Vucevic, Domantas Sabonis, Jaylen Brown, Karl-Anthony Towns, Jalen Brunson, Ivica Zubac
Top Five (5) Players in FB Lineups: D. Sabonis (88%), I. Zubac (73%), K. Towns (48%), Z. Williamson (44%), N. Jokic (32%)
Looking Ahead:
Tomorrow, 15 3PM & 25 3PA will be the two (2) objectives; there are 10 teams in action
Considerations:
Golden State & Philadelphia are playing the tail-end of a back-to-back today
Cleveland, Minnesota, & Washington have the most number of games remaining (2)
26 teams have the least number of games remaining (1)
Milwaukee has no more games scheduled during this run
Statistical Approach:
Top players in projected offensive rebounds & points in the paint according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 games, and rest of season projections, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ subscribers, projected rest-of-season stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Tome Collective’s Fast Break Run 8 Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):
Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.
Loading up on Houston Rockets players was clearly not the right approach to yesterday. That means we’ll need to win the two (2) remaining days to earn the 6-win pack. Take it one day at a time - let’s get this next win.
