NBA Fast Break Run 8 | Day 3
Pick 5 Players who will combine for 45 Field Goals Made and 55 Field Goal Attempts to earn your win.
Recap & Overview:
After seeing 75% of participants earn a win on Day 1, the broad success continued as we saw 90% on Day 2 thanks to stat stuffing shenanigans by KAT, Ayton, Anthony Davis, Joker, and many others. KAT was originally in the top 5 most utilized, but that number shrank considerably thanks to a notification by Dapper stating KAT was out when he was probable and ended up playing in the game yesterday. Either way, there was enough success amongst other players where it was irrelevant as wins were prevalent amongst Fast Breakers. The divergence in perfection could very well take place today based on today’s objectives.
Both AD & KAT had 38 total stats (22 PIP; 16 REB) and accounted for the majority of Day 2’s objectives, they aren’t eligible for the Fast Break Stud of the Day (but they earned honorable mentions). Instead, Deandre Ayton delivered 31 total stats (16 PIP; 15 REB) earned this honor. On the other hand and since he was used the most of all players, Jakob Poeltl only had 9 total stats (6 PIP; 3 REB), he earned the not so coveted Fast Break Dud of the Day.
If you’re one of the many who have two (2) wins under your belt, congratulations. There are nine (9) days remaining and there will be plenty of challenges, so those two wins will be important as you progress toward the perfect pack, nine-win pack, and overall rewards. The first hurdle will be today as 45.0 field goals will not be easy. With that said, let’s dive into the projections.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 3 requires five (5) players who will accumulate 45.0 field goals made & 55.0 field goal attempts, which means your lineup will need to average 9.0 FGM & 11.0 FGA. You cannot make shots without taking them, so the FGA objective is more a formality than focal point. Averaging 9 field goals is no small task as we’ve experienced in the past. One or two players can sink your entire day even when you have one or two stellar performances. Being one or two field goals off the pace won’t ruin your day if you have another player who is ahead of the curve. Giannis & SGA are in the top 5 most utilized for a reason, but having SGA in your lineup will put a strain on Day 7 as only OKC & Portland are in action (unless you have an SGA rare moment). Use the information below an the data table to put forth your best effort in earning a win today.
Shot Takers & Makers: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Cade Cunningham, Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball
Top Five (5) Players in FB Lineups: K. Durant (73%), G. Antetokounmpo (71%), SGA (64%), D. Fox (61%), L. Ball (37%)
Looking Ahead:
Tomorrow, 125 points scored is the single objective; there are 18 teams in action
Objectives Breakdown (after today):
2x: PTS, 3PM, REB
1x: BLK, STL, +/-, OREB, 3PA, AST, PIP
Considerations:
Brooklyn is the only team playing a tail-end of a back-to-back today
The top prizes have dropped in value, but the number of winners has increased significantly (435 daily; 1,500 overall)
Assists minus turnovers is missing again this run, but +/- has returned (Day 9)
Indiana, New York, & San Antonio have the least number of games this run (3)
Atlanta & Cleveland have the most number of games this run (6)
Day 7 only have two (2) teams in action, so plan around this date to avoid being stuck without options
Day 6, 8, & 10 have 20+ teams in action (10+ games)
Milwaukee’s last game is on Day 9
Of the 11 days in this run, five have 10 or fewer teams in action

We hoped Franz would be available today, but he wasn’t so we subbed in Nic Claxton. KAT led the way and helped us secure win #2. Day 3 is going to be nerve-wracking, but we feel good about our chances. Fingers crossed we don’t have any egregiously underwhelming performances today.
