NBA Fast Break Run 7 | Day 10

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 45 Field Goals Made and 55 Field Goal Attempts to earn your win.

Recap & Overview:

There are two objectives today, but it feels more like a single objective. You can’t make shots if you don’t take them, so earning a win today will rely almost entirely on field goals made; field goal attempts are more of a formality. Considering you’ll need to average almost 10 field goals made per player, you’re not putting in scrubs in your lineup. Keep in mind one player who falls short of this threshold could be the difference between earning a win and not.

Although the Bulls lost to New Orleans, Josh Giddey did not fall short yesterday and exceled for his teammates and the 49% who included him in their lineups as he delivered 12 assists and 13 rebounds - that’s 80% of the assists goal and 43% of the rebounding goal. With that qua lity performance, he earned his first Fast Break Stud of the Day award. On the other end, Trae Young was projected to lead all distributors…but ended up being the 20th highest with only 5 total assists (along with 3 rebounds). Not the performance many were hoping, especially if they were relying on him to deliver the majority of their assists yesterday, so he is your Fast Break Dud of the Day with an honorable mention to Russell Westbrook who had only three (3) assists due to a blowout win against the Mavericks. Fortunately, 80% of participants walked away unscathed and earned a much needed win.

With only five (5) days remaining, you will need at least six (6) wins thus far to achieve the 11-win objective. Otherwise, the 7-win reward is a decent consolation prize and you’ll only need at least two (2) wins thus far. Surprisingly, we are down to 95 perfect records as 6 fell of the pace, but the top 25 will likely come from this perfect bunch as any loss on your record could mean you have no shot at the top 25 prize…but crazier things have happened. Speaking of crazy, did you see Sotheby’s auctioning off eight (8) NBA Top Shot Rookie 1-of-1 moments? If there’s a rookie moment you covet of the bunch, may as well look into lobbing a bid. There are also some other interesting merchandise that’s being auctioned, so it’s worth a look.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 10 requires five (5) players who will make 45.0 or more field goals and accumulate 55.0 or more field goal attempts, which means your lineup will need to average 9.0 FGM & 11.0 FGA per player. Considering the high threshold for field goals made, you will need your best players going today (or sit out if you think today is too difficult based on your lineup options). Based on the projections, only six (6) players are projected to have more than 9.0 FGM today, but fourteen (14) have averaged higher than 9.0 over their last 10 games.

  • Walking Buckets: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, Victor Wembanyama, LaMelo Ball, Karl-Anthony Towns

  • Top Five (5) Players in FB Lineups: L. Ball (72%), J. Brown (61%), J. Tatum (43%), G. Antetokounmpo (33%), L. James (30%)

  • After today, 2 of the 4 remaining days have a single objective & 2 of 4 have two objectives

  • Day 11 (tomorrow) has the least number of teams in action (10)

Winner, winner! Giddey led the way and we earned win #6. Tomorrow is going to be challenging considering one lackluster performance could sink our day. We have some ballers lined up though, which may shift depending on who’s ruled out. We’ll need to keep a watchful eye on that injury report.
