NBA Fast Break Run 3 | Day 12
Pick 5 Players who will combine for 130 Points Scored and 15 Three Pointers Made to earn your win.
Overview:
We’ve reached the end of another Fast Break Run - one that started rocky for many, but turned out to be quite successful for most. There have been over 8,300 unique players this run which is in line with Run 1 & 2. Considering over 80% of lineups earned a win yesterday, it should not be surprising that there are 82 perfect records. Day 12 is no gimme, so it’ll be a war of attrition and average position. It will be interesting to see who stands in the top spot when the dust settles.
Day 11 was successful for a much larger percentage of lineups than any Assist minus Turnovers day, ever. As he was included in 79% of lineups, the NBA Fast Break Stud of the Day Award goes to Fred VanVleet who accounted for 10 Assists minus Turnovers and carried more than his fair share of lineups. Without his outperformance, the number of winners today would be significantly less. On the other end of the spectrum is Chris Paul who was the NBA Fast Break Dud of the Day. Although he was only used in 39% of lineups, he almost sunk those who included him in their lineups. Three Assists minus Turnovers isn’t awful, but as a player who is known for his Assists volume, he delivered an underwhelming performance.
Generally speaking, this is a busy week in both NBA Top Shot and NFL All Day - the latter of which will have two (2) playbooks and a “Feast Week” many merch, memorabilia, and more will be available. Keep in mind that the rewards are split amongst the number of winners. If you haven’t participants, you’re doing yourself a disservice by ignoring it. Article for the Thursday games will be out tomorrow. With NBA Top Shot, the next Fast Break run kicks off on Friday. Until then, let’s dive into today’s objectives.
Note: We will be rebranding from ‘Tome Society’ to ‘Tome Collective’ by December 1st, 2024 based on an adjustment in the creative direction of this brand. We have already updated our Dapper and social handle ahead of the change, but you will begin to notice updates throughout.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 12 requires five (5) players who score 130 or more Points Scored and 15 Three Pointers Made, which means your lineup will need to average 26.0 PTS and 3.0 3PM per player. Considering the final day often means your lineup options are limited, the mix of these two objectives may bigger challenge than it’ll appear. There are a handful of players who are projected to exceed the minimum thresholds for both, but many may need to moneyball it to achieve today’s target by mixing high scoring players with outside shooters. Dig into the information below to set your best available lineup.
Little of Both: LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Kyrie Irving
Bucket Getters: LaMelo Ball, Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kyrie Irving, De'Aaron Fox, Anthony Davis, Franz Wagner
Three Point Bucket Getters: LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Stephen Curry, Donovan Mitchell, Brandon Miller, Kyrie Irving

Tome Society’s Fast Break Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):
Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as Tome Society participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.
We did it! Win #9 officially achieved thanks to a top class showing from Fred VanVleet. Without his 10 Assist minus Turnovers and I would not have reached today’s objective. Day 12 is for fun as top 200 is unlikely and we look toward preparing for Run 4 which begins on Friday.
