NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 4 | Day 4

Flagg Shines, Murray Drops 52, Rockets Dominate

NBA Recap: December 3, 2025

Dallas leaned on rookie sensation Cooper Flagg to close out Miami, securing a 118–108 win at American Airlines Center. Flagg’s late buckets and defensive stops steadied the Mavericks against a Heat team that kept pressing until the final minutes. In Milwaukee, the Bucks cruised past Detroit 113–109 even though Giannis Antetokounmpo played all of three minutes, a narrow escape against Cade Cunningham’s surging Pistons. Meanwhile, Brooklyn stunned Chicago at the United Center, 113–103, flipping the script behind a balanced attack that outpaced the Bulls’ late rally.

Houston delivered the night’s most emphatic statement, throttling Sacramento 121–95 with Alperen Şengün orchestrating the offense and the Rockets’ defense suffocating the Kings. The Clippers silenced Atlanta 115–92, James Harden dictating tempo while the Hawks’ offense sputtered. At Madison Square Garden, Jalen Brunson guided the Knicks to a 119–104 win over Charlotte, his steady hand ensuring New York’s control throughout. Elsewhere, Portland outlasted Cleveland 122–110, Denver overwhelmed Indiana 135–120 behind Jamal Murray’s 52 points, and San Antonio edged Orlando 114–112 in a tight finish.

Fast Break Recap: Day 3

Pro mode had another down day as only 25% earned a win, but the other two iterations of Fast Break were successful. 71% of Classic Fast Break participants and 81% of Historic earned a win, so the large majority walked away happy. Yesterday, rebounds and blocks were needed and Anthony Davis (most utilized player) came through in a big way as he contributed 17 rebounds and 3 blocks, which covered 38% of the rebounds and 75% of the blocks. If he was your captain, he would have covered 57% of your rebounds and 125% of the blocks objective. With his big performance, he deservedly earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day award.

Even though Isaiah Stewart was ejected from the DET-MIL game, he still had more rebounds than Myles Turner, who was the fifth most utilized player yesterday. As he only had 3 rebounds and 2 blocks, he was your Fast Break Dud of the Day.

Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 4 of 13

Objective(s): 20 Assists minus Turnovers (4.0 AST-TO)

You’ll need five (5) players who will accumulate 20 or more assists minus turnovers, which means each player will need to average 4.0 AST-TO. This is generally not a fun day as it can be one where the wrong captain could single-handedly sink your day. A negative day or low AST-TO would likely spell doom for your day considering the high threshold.

Top Player Options:

  • Distributes the Ball; Protects the Ball: Tyrese Maxey, Immanuel Quickley

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: L. James (74%) | J. Butler (70%) | D. White (60%) | P. Pritchard (36%) | T. Maxey (35%)

Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:

  • Objectives remaining (after today):

    • 2x: 3PM, 3PA, FGM, FGA, AST

    • 1x: PITP, OREB, STL, PTS, REB

  • Tomorrow’s Objective(s): 15 Three Pointers Made & 25 Three Point Attempts (3.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA)

Considerations:

  • Houston has the least number of games remaining (3)

  • LA Lakers, Miami, New York, Orlando, San Antonio, & Toronto could have an extra game if they win their first NBA Cup matchup

  • LA Clippers & Milwaukee has the most number of games remaining (6)

  • Miami could have up to seven games remaining (if they win their NBA Cup Quarterfinals matchup)

  • The dreaded AST-TO lands on Day 4 (today)

  • The four teams playing on Day 13 will depend on the results of Day 9’s NBA Cup results

  • The only day this run with more than 20 teams in action is Day 5 (tomorrow)

  • Day 8-11 & 13 have less than 8 or less teams in action, so your player options are more limited

Statistical Approach:

Top players in assists minus turnovers according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 average, and season averages, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ members, all active player stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Witty’s Fast Break Challenge:

In NBA Fast Break, how often you can use a player depends on the value of their moments—measured by average sale price. That system can put newer and/or smaller collectors at a disadvantage, limiting their ability to compete. This segment is designed to level the playing field, giving resourceful collectors a shot at rewards and proving that smart strategy can still win, even without a stacked collection.
