Star Power Surges: Wemby, Jokic, Booker Lead the Way

NBA Recap: November 8, 2025

Victor Wembanyama powered the Spurs to a 126–119 win over the Pelicans, showcasing his two-way brilliance in a tightly contested Southwest clash. In Denver, Nikola Jokic orchestrated a 117–100 win over the Pacers with his signature efficiency, keeping the Nuggets’ rhythm intact as they continue to dominate at home while securing yet another triple-double on the season. Meanwhile, Devin Booker flirted with a triple-double—21 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists—as the Suns held off the Clippers 114–103, sweeping their back-to-back against LA.

Miami edged Portland 136–131 in a shootout, while Cleveland outlasted Chicago 128–122 behind a late surge. Atlanta stunned the Lakers 122–102, snapping LA’s five-game win streak despite Luka Doncic’s 22-point, 11-assist effort. The Hawks leaned on Mouhamed Gueye’s breakout 21-7-7 line, but they also had six other players in double figures. Philly took care of business at home against Toronto, winning 130-120 and Dallas earned their third win of the season against the bottom dweller Wizards, 111-105.

Across the board, stars stepped up and home teams held firm. The night’s slate underscored the league’s depth and unpredictability, with rising talent and MVP-caliber veterans shaping the early-season narrative.

NBA Fast Break Results: Day 6

Heading into Day 7, four of five days had resulted in a 70% or higher win rate, but yesterday was a tally in the below column as only 45% earned a win. Wemby was utilized in 35% of lineups and was easily the Fast Break Stud of the Day as he accumulated 18 rebounds to go along with his 3 blocks. If he was your captain, he led you to an easy win.

Nikola Vucevic was the most utilized player as he was included in 69% of lineups. Unfortunately, his 5 rebounds and no blocks was easily the biggest reason why yesterday’s win percentage dipped below 50%. With his performance, he earned the Fast Break Dud of the Day award.

Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 7 of 14

Objective(s): 15 Three Pointers Made & 25 Three Point Attempts (3.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA)

You’ll need five (5) players who will make 15 or more and take 25 or more three pointers, which means each player will need to average 3.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA. The former will determine whether you win and the latter will dictate where you rank overall. Although straightforward, your captain will likely play a major role in whether you win or lose based on the 1.5 multiplier. You’ll need every bit of it if every player stays within their average, but it can easily be derailed if one of your players has an off night. Steph is questionable, so is one to watch — unfortunately, he plays in the second to last game of the day, so you’ll have limited sub options if you start him.

Top Player Options:

  • Outside Snipers: Stephen Curry, Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Maxey

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: I. Joe (67%) | M. Porter Jr. (49%) | T. Maxey (48%) | S. Curry (47%) | A. Edwards (45%)

Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:

  • Objectives remaining (after today): AST-TO, AST, STL, PITP, OREB, FGM, FGA, PTS, REB, BLK

  • Tomorrow’s Objective(s): 50 Points in the Paint & 12 Offensive Rebounds (10.0 PITP & 2.4 OREB)

Considerations:

  • Golden State, Milwaukee, Orlando, & Sacramento have the most remaining games (5)

  • Chicago, Denver, Miami, Philly, Toronto, & Washington have the fewest remaining games (3)

  • Day 11 & 13 has 10 or less teams in action, so lineup options are more limited

  • Day 10 has 20 or more teams in action, so there is more flexibility with your lineup options

  • The always volatile & challenging AST-TO takes place on Day 13 (today for Pro mode)

Statistical Approach:

Top players in three pointers made & three point attempts according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 (when available), and season averages, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ members, all active player stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Witty’s Fast Break Challenge:

In NBA Fast Break, how often you can use a player depends on the value of their moments—measured by average sale price. That system can put newer and/or smaller collectors at a disadvantage, limiting their ability to compete. This segment is designed to level the playing field, giving resourceful collectors a shot at rewards and proving that smart strategy can still win, even without a stacked collection.

Check back daily to see our lineup, adjustments along the way, and how we do with lineups that are capped to a single use per run.
