NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 2 | Day 1

Triple-Doubles, First Losses, and Fatherly Cheers

NBA Recap: November 2, 2025

Luka Doncic turned Crypto.com Arena into his personal stage Sunday night, notching his 83rd career triple-double with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists as the Lakers outpaced the Heat 130–120. With Deandre Ayton sidelined, Bronny James stepped into a bigger role, delivering a highlight dunk that had LeBron leaping from his courtside seat. Austin Reaves chipped in 26 points, while Bam Adebayo led Miami with a valiant effort, but the Heat couldn’t close the gap. The Lakers’ offense hummed, and the crowd roared, especially when Bronny’s dunk made the rounds on every highlight reel before the final buzzer.

Meanwhile, in Phoenix, Devin Booker dropped 28 to hand Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs their first loss of the season. The Suns’ supporting cast—Grayson Allen and rookie Ryan Dunn—each added 17, proving that Phoenix’s depth can shine even when Wemby’s star dims. Back east, the Knicks rode a balanced attack to a 128–116 win over the Bulls at Madison Square Garden, while the 76ers steamrolled the Nets 129–105 behind a dominant showing that left Brooklyn still searching for their first win. In Cleveland, the Cavaliers held off a late Hawks surge to win 117–109, and the Raptors defended home court with a 117–104 victory over the Grizzlies.

Yesterday’s games delivered a full slate of storylines: rising rookies, aging legends, and a reminder that in the NBA, no lead—or legacy—is ever safe.

Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 1 of 14

Objective(s): 15 Three Pointers Made & 25 Three Point Attempts (3.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA)

You’ll need five (5) players who will accumulate 15 or more three pointers made and 25 or more three point attempts, which means each player will need to average 3.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA. The former will determine whether you win or lose today and the latter will contribute toward your overall ranking.

Top Player Options:

  • Outside Snipers: Lauri Markkanen, Donte DiVincenzo, Luka Doncic, Zach LaVine, James Harden

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: L. Markkanen (77%) | L. Doncic (63%) | O. Anunoby (40%) | S. Hauser (35%) | D. DiVincenzo (34%)

Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:

  • Objectives remaining (after today):

    • 2x: AST, STL, PITP, OREB, FGM, FGA, PTS, REB, BLK

    • 1x: 3PM, 3PA, AST-TO

  • Tomorrow Objective(s): 30 Assists & 5 Steals (6.0 AST & 1.0 STL)

Considerations:

  • Dallas, Golden State, & Milwaukee have the most games scheduled this run (8)

  • Charlotte, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and Toronto have the least number of games scheduled this run (6)

  • There is one more day this run compared to the Run 1

  • There are only two (2) teams in action on Day 4, so set this lineup first to avoid finding yourself in a tough spot

  • Day 11 & 13 also have 10 or less teams in action, so lineup options are more limited

  • Day 3, 5, & 10 have 20 or more teams in action, so there is more flexibility with your lineup options

  • The always volatile & challenging AST-TO takes place on Day 13

Statistical Approach:

Top players in three pointers made & three point attempts according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 (when available), and season averages, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ members, all active player stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Witty’s Fast Break Challenge:

In NBA Fast Break, how often you can use a player depends on the value of their moments—measured by average sale price. That system can put newer and/or smaller collectors at a disadvantage, limiting their ability to compete. This segment is designed to level the playing field, giving resourceful collectors a shot at rewards and proving that smart strategy can still win, even without a stacked collection.

Check back daily to see our lineup, adjustments along the way, and how we do with lineups that are capped to a single use per run.

Will be posted beginning tomorrow for Run 2.
