NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 7 | Day 1
Magic Roll at Home, 76ers Blow Lead & Win, Wolves Escape Late
NBA Recap: January 11, 2026
Orlando trailed New Orleans by seven points going into the fourth quarter on the road, but a seventeen point differential in the final frame was the difference in this one as the Magic secured a 128-118 win over the Pelicans. Memphis followed with a 103–98 win over Brooklyn, a grind‑heavy game where the Grizzlies’ defense tightened late and the Nets couldn’t find the final push they needed.
Philadelphia let an eight point lead slip away immediately as the Raptors went on a seven point run to start the fourth. With twenty seconds to play, Maxey put the 76ers up by four points, but Toronto scored four points in the final 11 seconds to force overtime. The back-and-forth continued into extras, but a foul on Oubre on Barnes with no time remaining was the difference as the Raptors edged the 76ers 116-115.
New York kept its momentum rolling with a 123–114 win over Portland, using a strong second half to create separation and never letting the Blazers regain rhythm. Minnesota and San Antonio was one of the more exciting matchups of the night, with the Wolves being down by 14 points going into the final quarter. The Spurs went scoreless for almost four minutes to open the door for Minnesota. They would continue to chip away until they tied the game with three and a half minutes remaining in the game, which also saw 6 lead changes and a tie thereafter. Anthony Edwards did not have a high scoring night, but he made the bucket that mattered most as he sank a floating bank shot with sixteen seconds remaining, which turned out to be the game winner.
Oklahoma City followed with a 124–112 win over Miami, as they look to get back to their consistent winning ways against all competitors. Denver protected home court with a 108–104 win over Milwaukee even though they were without by Jokic and Murray — a physical matchup where the Nuggets’ late‑game execution proved decisive. Phoenix handled Washington 112–93, dictating tempo and keeping the Wizards at arm’s length from the opening tip. Atlanta delivered one of the night’s most impressive road wins, beating Golden State 124–111 by controlling the glass, the pace, and the shot‑making battle. Lastly, Sacramento closed the slate with a 111–98 upset win over Houston, which was a close contest until an 11-point differential in the final frame sent the Kings home as winners on the road.
