NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 6 | Day 11

Cavs Win a Track Meet, Indy Shocks Miami, Hornets Win by 55

NBA Recap: January 10, 2026

Chicago opened with a 125–107 win over Dallas, a game where the Bulls controlled the pace from the jump and never let the Mavericks dictate terms. Every time Dallas threatened to close the gap, Chicago answered with another run and outscored Dallas in every quarter. Indiana followed by handling Miami 123–99, which earned them their eighth win on what is likely a throwaway season as they wait for Tyrese Haliburton’s return from his injury in last' year’s playoffs.

Cleveland and Minnesota delivered the wildest box score of the evening, with the Cavs winning 146–134 in a game that felt like a sprint to the finish as both teams scored 40+ in the final frame. Neither team showed much interest in slowing down, but Cleveland’s shot‑making and a ten point differential in the 3rd quarter was the difference.

Detroit and the Clippers played the tightest game of the night and it was the only game where neither team crested triple digits. In this matchup, L.A. escaped 98–92 after a defensive grind that never fully opened up. Detroit’s meager 16 points in the final frame allowed the Clippers to steal one in Detroit. In Boston, San Antonio added another notch on their belt of statement wins as they beat the Celtics 100–95 by controlling the fourth quarter and leaning on disciplined half‑court execution.

Charlotte closed the night with a thunderclap, blowing out Utah 150–95 in one of the most lopsided results of the season. The Hornets pushed the pace, hit everything they put up (scoring 32+ points in each quarter), and turned the second half into a showcase. Utah was embarrassed on their home court as Charlotte never stopped running. All twelve players was on the floor for at least 12 minutes apiece and each scored at least four points — nine of which scored in double figures.

Fast Break Recap: Day 10

Only two days this run has seen a higher than 38% win rate and yesterday was not one of them as only 9 collectors walked away winners, which equated to 0%. Pro did not fare much better as only 11% earned a win compared to relatively low 56% for Historic.

LaMelo Ball, Keyonte George, and Stephon Castle had something in common — they were three of the top five players utilized yesterday and each only had five assists, which fell well short of what was needed of them. Donovan Mitchell had the highest of the bunch, but his eight assists weren’t enough to cover the three Duds of the Day. However, since Mitchell had the highest assists output of the top five, he is your Fast Break Stud of the Day.

Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 11 of 11
