Run 12 | Day 6
Fast Break Recap: Day 5
Historic managed a 40% win rate, Pro came in at 44%, and Classic was the hardest hit — just 19% of collectors earned a win, a punishing night when the objective called for two of the most difficult defensive stats to accumulate in combination.
Yesterday's objectives were 7 steals and 7 blocks across five players — roughly 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per player to carry their weight.
The blocks dried up almost entirely, and that's what sank Classic managers. Victor Wembanyama (45% utilization) was the lone bright spot on the shot-blocking side, swatting 5 in San Antonio's 134-119 win over Indiana while adding 1 steal — a performance that single-handedly covered most of the blocks threshold. Evan Mobley (37%) chipped in 2 blocks and 1 steal in Cleveland's 111-106 win over New Orleans, giving the group a respectable 7 combined blocks between just those two. The problem was everything else. Dyson Daniels (28%) delivered 4 steals in Atlanta's blowout 95-117 loss to Houston — a strong individual contribution on the steals side — but added zero blocks. Jalen Suggs (56%), the most-rostered player on the board, contributed just 1 steal and 0 blocks in Orlando's heartbreaking 104-105 loss to the Lakers. Cason Wallace (41%) went empty-handed in both categories in Oklahoma City's 132-111 blowout of Washington due to an early ejection.
With three of the five players contributing zero blocks, the group's 7 combined swats came almost entirely from Wembanyama and Mobley. The steals side was similarly concentrated — Daniels carried that column largely on his own, but Suggs, Wallace, and the Wembanyama-Mobley duo couldn't generate enough volume around him to push the group to 7 steals. Collectors needed both defensive categories to fire across the lineup, and the distribution simply wasn't there.
Fast Break Stud of the Day: Victor Wembanyama — 5 blocks and 1 steal in a Spurs win. He was the only player in the group who made a meaningful impact on the blocks side of the objective.
Fast Break Dud of the Day: Cason Wallace — 0 steals and 0 blocks at 41% utilization. The third-most-rostered player in the group contributed nothing on either defensive category, leaving collectors who relied on him with a dead slot.
