WNBA Fast Break Classic | 2025 Playoffs | Day 10

Today’s Objective(s): 10 Free Throws Made & 20 Rebounds

Overview:

Minnesota, the favorites to win the WNBA title, was eliminated by Phoenix in Game 4 on September 28th. Although they were down for the majority of the game, they roared back in the 4th quarter to eliminate the Lynx. Today will mark the final game of the WNBA semis, which will determine whether Las Vegas returns or Indiana reaches the WNBA Finals.

Should the Aces win, they’ll stay home against Phoenix, but the Fever would need to travel to Phoenix if they upset Las Vegas in Vegas. As they’re playing at home, the Aces have the advantage, but Indiana has been playing some of their best basketball on the season so they will not go quietly.

WNBA Recap: September 28th

Mercury Storm Back, Eliminate Lynx to Reach Finals (PHO 86, MIN 81)

Phoenix erased a 13-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat Minnesota 86–81 and punch its ticket to the WNBA Finals. Alyssa Thomas led with 23 points, while DeWanna Bonner hit two clutch threes and scored 11 in the final frame. Satou Sabally added 21, and the Mercury closed the series with three straight wins. Kayla McBride kept the Lynx alive with 31 points and six second-half threes, but Minnesota—missing Napheesa Collier and head coach Cheryl Reeve—couldn’t hold off Phoenix’s late surge.

Boston, Mitchell Keep Fever Alive, Force Game 5 in Vegas (IND 90, LVA 83)

Aliyah Boston (24 points, 14 rebounds) and Kelsey Mitchell (25 points) powered the Indiana Fever to a gutsy 90–83 win over the Las Vegas Aces, tying the semifinal series 2–2. Down four starters, Indiana leaned on its stars and capitalized on a late-game technical—Las Vegas called a timeout it didn’t have with 30.1 seconds left, gifting the Fever a free throw and possession. Odyssey Sims added 18, and Lexie Hull chipped in 7 points, 7 boards, and 4 steals. A’ja Wilson dropped 31 for Vegas, becoming the seventh player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 playoff points.

Fast Break Results: Day 9

Deja vu — 53% of Fast Break participants earned a win, which was the ninth straight day where more than 50% of collectors earned a win and it was the second below 60%. With at least four more days (after today) in this WNBA series finale, most collections are strained and are scraping the bottom of the barrel to reach the eight win objective. Should you have an extensive collection of legendary moments, you’re sitting pretty and on track to earn the run-based rewards.

Kayla McBride filled in for Napheesa Collier, who was out with a knee injury) and did what she could to keep the title chances alive. As she went 10-23 from the field, she had the biggest contribution of the day. With her performance, she earned the Fast Break Star of the Day. On the other hand, Natisha Hiedeman and Dana Evans both scored 3 points apiece and made a single field goal. Natisha at least put up 7 attempts whereas Dana only attempts 4. If you had either (or both), these are you Fast Break co-Duds of the Day.

WNBA Playoff Semifinals: Best of Five Series

Indiana Fever @ Las Vegas Aces | 9:30PM ET | 1:30AM UTC (Series Tied 2-2)

Tonight at Michelob Ultra Arena, the Las Vegas Aces host the Indiana Fever in a decisive Game 5 with a trip to the WNBA Finals on the line. A’ja Wilson anchors a veteran Vegas team including Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young. Indiana, on the other hand, counters with rising star Aliyah Boston, whose all-around effort in Game 4 led the Fever to a big win. If Kelsey Mitchell continues her hot shot-making, Indiana has the potential to pull off the big upset. Considering their experience and home court advantage, expect Vegas to test Indiana early and push for the knockout blow. With both teams one win from the Finals, every possession will carry weight, but Vegas has the slight advantage.
