WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 3 | Day 2
Today’s Objective(s): 20 Assists & 2 Steals
Recap & Overview:
WNBA Power Rankings: Sorting Out the Field
As the WNBA season moves forward, clearer tiers are emerging among the thirteen competing teams. Some squads are already looking toward the 2026 Draft, as their chances for success continue to fade. This bottom tier consists of Dallas, Chicago, Connecticut, and Los Angeles, each struggling to find consistency.
The middle tier consists of teams showing playoff potential, including Las Vegas, Seattle, Phoenix, Atlanta, Indiana, Washington, and the newcomer Golden State Valkyrie. These teams have displayed flashes of brilliance but lack the dominance needed to truly contend.
At the top, two teams stand above the rest—New York and Minnesota, the only undefeated teams in the league. If their momentum holds, they appear destined for a 2024 Finals rematch, reinforcing their status as the gold standard of the WNBA.
Breaking Down the Numbers
So far, 51 of 572 games have been played (8.9% of the season). Of those games, 29 have been decided by 10 points or fewer, showing a level of parity in matchups.
However, 22 games have been blowouts, with nine resulting in 20+ point victories. The Liberty and Lynx have accounted for 12 of those decisive wins, further proving their dominance over the competition.
While Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers are emerging talents, their time as league cornerstones is still on the horizon. For now, the WNBA is led by Napheesa Collier (28) and Sabrina Ionescu (27), two of the most impactful players who could very well battle for a championship this year and continue to be Fast Break mainstays along with other notable names like A’ja Wilson (27).
Latest Results: New York Stays Perfect, Indiana Falters
Yesterday’s action reinforced the league hierarchy. New York continued its undefeated run, handling Chicago 85-66, though the Sky showed minor improvement from their 25-point loss in their previous matchup.
Elsewhere, Indiana aimed for a third Commissioner’s Cup win, but Atlanta spoiled their perfect record, handing the Fever their first in-season tournament loss.

Fast Break Strategy: Assists & Steals Take Center Stage
Tonight’s Fast Break challenge requires both assists and steals, meaning lineup selection will be critical.
With plenty of viable options early in Run 3, the challenge is achievable, but assist days often prove tricky. Finding players with balanced production will be the key to success.
