WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 2 | Day 10
Today’s Objective(s): 20 Rebounds & 20 Points in the Paint
Recap & Overview:
Commissioner’s Cup Recap
The three-game slate yesterday brought decisive outcomes, each ending in a blowout.
Las Vegas entered with momentum, having won two straight, but their matchup against the struggling Golden State Valkyrie turned into a stunning upset. Despite expectations, the Aces never found their footing beyond the second quarter, suffering a 27-point loss. This setback significantly jeopardizes their chances of advancing in the Commissioner’s Cup. To remain in contention, they will likely need to win every remaining game in the in-season tournament, including a crucial matchup against Minnesota on June 17th.
Chicago had hoped to avenge their previous 35-point defeat against Indiana. While they improved the final score, their 27-point loss still emphasized their struggles. Scoring only 52 points against Indiana’s 79, the Sky’s Commissioner’s Cup aspirations are now virtually gone. Their focus must now shifts toward securing enough wins to reach the playoffs.
Seattle and Phoenix, both boasting winning records, looked poised for a competitive battle. Entering the fourth quarter, the Storm held a slim four-point lead. However, in the final minutes, Seattle took control, pulling away for a double-digit victory.
Fast Break Recap: Poor Shooting Night Sinks Many Lineups
Yesterday’s Fast Break challenge required field goals made and attempted, presenting a balanced but demanding test. Chelsea Gray, utilized in 43% of lineups, delivered a solid performance with 7 made field goals on 11 attempts, earning her the Fast Break Star of the Day. A’ja Wilson and Nneka Ogwumike also had strong outings, sinking 5 of 13 shots each.
Jewell Loyd struggled, making just one of six attempts, but Jackie Young was the worse performer of the two. As the most-utilized player with 84% inclusion in lineups, she converted just one of eight shots, significantly impacting many collectors’ results. With her lackluster performance, she earned the not-so-coveted Fast Break Dud of the Day.
Commissioner’s Cup Matchups: Key Stakes Today
Tonight features two matchups, including Minnesota against Dallas. With eight wins already this season, Minnesota stands far ahead of Dallas, which may result in a one-sided affair. If the Lynx dominate early, expect their starters to be rested late in the game.
Connecticut and Washington meet in a game that offers both teams a chance to gain a much-needed victory. With Washington’s impressive rookies, they could reclaim winning form and aim for a playoff berth. If Marina Mabrey can repeat her standout performance in their last game, it might also propel Connecticut forward. The outcome of this game could shape both teams' trajectories for the remainder of the season.
Fast Break Preview: Game Plan for the Day
The seesaw of win rates continued as yesterday’s 17% win rate pales in comparison to the 77% who earned a win on Day 8. If the pendulum swings the other way, anticipate a win if you have a decent lineup prepared. With that said, let’s dive into today’s projections.

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. We earned a win, but barely as we just crossed the FGM threshold. We also snuck into the top 200, which earned us our 3rd top 200 daily reward. It also moved us into the top 200 overall, so there’s a chance we earn a run-based reward if we win the next two days. Confidence is low based on who we have left, but you never know.
