WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 2 | Day 7

Today’s Objective(s): 7 Three Pointers Made & 15 Three Point Attempts

Recap & Overview:

WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Day 3: Key Matchups & Fast Break Strategy

The second day of the Commissioner’s Cup brought a marquee battle between Phoenix and Minnesota, but what was expected to be a competitive game turned into a lopsided 88-65 Lynx victory. Minnesota, now at 8-0, remains dominant, securing its second win in tournament play.

Elsewhere, Seattle snapped its three-game losing streak, narrowly edging Dallas 83-77, while Indiana fought off the Mystics, grinding out a hard-earned victory. Washington’s rookie standout Kiki Iriafen continued her stellar start, cementing herself as an early favorite for Rookie of the Year.

Fast Break Recap: Another 80%+ Win Rate

Day 6 marked the fourth time this series saw an 80%+ success rate, thanks to the low scoring threshold.

Curiously, none of the top five most-utilized players delivered the highest point totals. Napheesa Collier led the way for 58% of collectors, scoring 18 points, earning her the Fast Break Star of the Day. On the other hand, Skylar Diggins struggled with just 9 points, the only sub-10 scorer among top-utilized players, landing her the Fast Break Dud of the Day.

WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Matchups & Streaming Access

  • New York vs. Washington: The Liberty look to remain unbeaten, while the Mystics try to avoid their third straight loss. Their last meeting (May 30) ended in a 22-point Liberty win, meaning Washington faces an uphill battle.

  • Golden State vs. Phoenix: The Valkyrie aim to snap a three-game skid, while Phoenix looks to earn its second Cup victory.
