WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 1 | Day 4

Today’s Objective(s): 25 Field Goals Made & 2 Steals

Recap & Overview:

Mystics Surprise, Lynx Dominate

In yesterday’s two matchups, Minnesota handled the Sparks with ease, securing an 89-75 victory, while the Washington Mystics edged out Connecticut, 90-85, to earn their second win of the season.

The Mystics weren’t projected to be playoff contenders, but they’re getting strong production from their two first-round picks, Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron. Iriafen posted a double-double, while Citron chipped in double-digit points, making them prime candidates for highly sought-after rookie digital cards when released—valuable assets for Fast Break.

Fast Break Recap: Rebounds & Blocks

For Fast Break, the objective required 30 rebounds and 3 blocks. Rebounds were plentiful, but blocks proved to be the deciding factor in securing wins as only 43% of lineups earned a win.

Tina Charles, used in 63% of lineups, contributed 10 rebounds and 2 blocks, earning her the Fast Break Star of the Day. Dearica Hamby, the most-utilized player, also grabbed 10 rebounds but was the only top-five player without a block, which made a significant difference. Since none of the top five players had an outright poor performance, there was no Fast Break Dud of the Day.

Looking Ahead: Seattle vs. Dallas

Today’s lone matchup features Seattle against Dallas — a team showcasing another exciting rookie. Since Paige is not yet available for Fast Break, lineups will need to rely on more established players to compete effectively. With limited options, strategic selections will be key in navigating today’s objectives.

Tome Collective’s WNBA Fast Break Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.

Build-out in process, but is going slower than expected due to data irregularities. It’ll be ready by at least the next run at this rate. Here’s our lineup today though. Yesterday we earned our second win of this run, placing 70th overall.
