NBA Fast Break Classic | NBA Finals | Day 5

Today’s Objective(s): 20 Field Goals Made & 30 Field Goal Attempts

Recap & Overview:

Thunder Flip the Script in Game 4 Comeback

After three straight games of leading into the fourth quarter—and blowing two of them—Oklahoma City finally found themselves playing from behind in Game 4. Down seven entering the final frame, they came out swinging, quickly tying the score with eight minutes to go. The back-and-forth continued until the Thunder took the lead with two minutes remaining. From there, Indiana’s offense stalled, scoring just one point in the final three minutes as OKC closed with a dominant fourth quarter, outscoring the Pacers by 14.

Instead of heading home up 3–1, Indiana now finds itself locked in a high-stakes best-of-three, with Game 5 in OKC looming large.

Fast Break Recap: Offensive Boards Separate Winners from the Pack

Day 4’s Fast Break challenge—20 points in the paint and 5 offensive rebounds—proved to be one of the toughest yet, with just 28% of collectors securing a win.

While points in the paint were relatively manageable, it was offensive rebounding that proved the true divider. Pascal Siakam, rostered in 41% of lineups, failed to secure a single offensive board. Bennedict Mathurin, fresh off a Game 3 breakout, came up completely empty—zero points in the paint and zero offensive rebounds—earning him the unfortunate title of Fast Break Dud of the Day.

On the bright side, Isaiah Hartenstein delivered, securing three offensive boards and helping many collectors clear the second hurdle. For his effort, he claims Fast Break Stud of the Day honors.

Game 5: The Series’ Defining Moment

In NBA history, when a series is tied 2–2, the Game 5 winner advances 82.8% of the time (164 of 198 occurrences). Translation? This is the true pivot point. The stars are likely to shine, and shot volume will matter just as much as shot-making. Whether your collection still boasts elite options or you’re digging into secondary contributors, strategy is everything from here on out.

Let’s break down the projected top performers and sneaky value picks for today’s Fast Break challenge—and figure out how to keep your run alive.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 5 requires five (5) players who will make 20.0 or more and take 30.0 or more field goals, which means each player will need to average at least 4.0 FGM & 6.0 FGA. The thresholds are relatively low as the right two players could easily achieve that threshold. With that said, this is another one of those days where you won’t need five top tier players to achieve today’s objectives unless you’re pushing for the daily reward.

  • Shot Makers & Takers: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Pascal Siakam, Tyrese Haliburton, Chet Holmgrenr

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: SGA (39%), T. Haliburton (37%), I. Joe (36%), L. Dort (35%), A. Nesmith (33%)

Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:

  • Game 5: 15 Assists & 2 Steals (3.0 AST & 0.4 STL)

  • Objectives Remaining (after today): AST, STL, 3PM, 3PA
