NBA Fast Break Classic | Conference Semifinals | Day 12
Today’s Objective(s): 35 Points in the Paint
Recap & Overview:
Nuggets Force Game 7 in Thriller Against Thunder
The Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder battled in a tight Game 6, featuring 12 ties and seven lead changes—the final shift coming with three minutes left in the third quarter. Denver took control late, fueled by big moments from Julian Strawther, while Michael Porter Jr. sat out nursing a shoulder injury.
With the win, Denver forces a Game 7, continuing their trend as the team with the most Game 7 appearances since 2019—seven including this postseason.
Fast Break Recap: Three-Point Struggles
Yesterday’s Fast Break objective focused on three-pointers, and it was a tough shooting night for many. Among the top five most-utilized players, none made more than two threes, but Lu Dort (52%), Michael Porter Jr. (39%), and Alex Caruso (37%) all hit the minimum three makes.
On the other hand, Andrew Wiggins, the most-utilized player (52%), had a rough night, missing all four attempts, earning the Fast Break Dud of the Day.
Knicks Look to End Home-Court Closing Drought
New York entered Game 5 with momentum, but Boston’s defensive intensity derailed them. Now, the Knicks have another chance to close out the series at home, something they haven’t done since 1999.
If they succeed, they’ll face Indiana in the Eastern Conference Finals on May 21. If not, they’ll head back to Boston for a decisive Game 7 on May 19.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 12 requires five (5) players who will score 35.0 or more point in the paint, which means each player will need to average at least 7.0 PITP. There are only two (2) teams in action today, so your options are very limited — especially at this stage of the Fast Break run. Fortunately there is only one objective, but it won’t be an easy one if you don’t have some of the top player options for the day. If New York wins today, there will not be a game on Day 14.
Inside Scorers: Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges
Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: M. Bridges (57%), J. Holiday (43%), P. Pritchard (33%), O. Anunoby (32%), J. Brown (31%)
