NBA Fast Break Run 11 | Day 4

Pick 5 Players who will combine for 15 Three Pointers Made & 25 Three Point Attempts to earn your win.

Recap & Overview:

That makes it three days straight where the win percentage has exceeded 75%, with 85% earning a win yesterday. Walker Kessler had himself a historic game where he had a double-take of a stat line in general, but it was especially helpful for Fast Break where he was utilized in 47% of lineups. Along with his 25 rebounds for Fast Break, Kessler also had 18 points scored and 8 blocks. It's a stat line so unique that only five other players in league history have put up at least those numbers: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O'Neal, Hakeem Olajuwon, Dikembe Mutombo and Elvin Hayes. Olajuwon was the last one to accomplish it in 1994. Although he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day due to the volume of rebounds, Jokic also had himself a historic night after logging the first ever 30-20-20 game. Honorable mention goes to Josh Hart who also accumulated 20 rebounds.

Of the remaining four most utilized players, none had less than 10 rebounds so there are no Duds today…again. That’s a trend that most participants would be happy with considering how the last two Fast Break runs have gone. But that may change over the next few days as 3PM, BLK/STL, and PTS will be the next three objectives - each of which have a tendency to see less than 50% winners.

When you log into Fast Break, you’ll notice a new toggle feature in the top right corner that allows you to swap over to the Pro Run seamlessly. Today, Pro Mode requires 35 points in the paint and 5 offensive rebounds. If you’re a tome+ member, be sure to toggle over and read the pro mode article, which also includes projections and last 10 game averages. While you’re here and before you shift your attention to the Pro Mode, let’s dig into the Classic stat lines and projections.

Today’s Objective(s):

Fast Break Day 4 requires five (5) players who will make 15.0 and attempt 25.0 or more three pointers, which means your lineup will need to average 3.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA per player. Although today has two objectives, the latter is more a formality than hindrance since players need to make an attempt before they can make one. 3PA acts more of a differentiator for overall standings, so you’ll want to include players who can not only make a bucket from range, but also attempts many shots from outside. Fortunately, you’ll have multiple players who can get you there.

  • From Range: Stephen Curry, Malik Beasley, Tyrese Haliburton, Damian Lillard, LaMelo Ball, Jalen Green

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: S. Curry (81%), M. Beasley (71%), L. Ball (55%), T. Herro (51%), J. Tatum (43%)

  • Pro Mode Limitations: N/A

Looking Ahead:

  • Tomorrow, 5 BLK & 5 STL will be the two objectives; 16 teams in action

  • Objectives frequency (after today):

    • 2x: PIP, BLK, FGM, AST, STL

    • 1x: REB, PTS, OREB, FGA, 3PM, 3PA

Considerations:

  • Cleveland & New York have the least number of games remaining (4)

  • Sixteen teams have the most number of games remaining (6)

  • Charlotte, Miami, & Toronto are playing the tail-end game of a back-to-back today

  • Day 7 (Mar 11th) & Day 9 (Mar 13th) have the least number of teams in action (8 & 10 respectively), so your lineup options will be more limited on these days

  • Day 6, 10, & 13 have the most teams in action (20+), so your lineup options will be the most expansive

  • Boston’s last game this run lands on Day 11

  • 5 of the remaining 10 days will have a single objective (or resembles a single objective)

  • Assists minus turnovers & +/- are not included as objectives again

  • Pro mode has additional limitations on Day 6 (TopShot Debut), Day 8 (Throwdown Rare), Day 10 (Metallic Gold Rare), & Day 13 (For the Win Rare)

Statistical Approach:

Top players in projected three pointers made & three point attempts according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 games, and rest of season projections, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ subscribers, projected rest-of-season stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Tome Collective’s Fast Break Run 11 Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.

Three days down, three wins secured. The next three days will be more challenging than the previous three, so we’re hoping to walk away with at least two wins heading into the second half of this run. Steph has been on absolute fire lately, so fingers crossed the trend continues.
