NBA Fast Break Run 9 | Day 10
Pick 5 Players who will combine for 20 Assists minus Turnovers to earn your win.
Recap & Overview:
Yesterday was a tough day, but 56% of participants walked away unscathed. If you had Zion, Zubac, Franz, or Joker, you had a player who contributed 20+ points in the paint. If you had Steven Adams, Hartenstein, Kornet, Camara, Ayton, or Gafford, you had a player who contributed 5+ offensive rebounds. Across all games yesterday, there were 253 total offensive rebounds so there were plenty to go around to achieve the required objective. As each of the top five players utilized did not have an egregiously poor performance, we do not have a clear Dud of the Day. And although Zion had a day-high 32 points in the paint, Sabonis contributed 18 PIP and 4 offensive rebounds, so he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day.
Of the 36 perfect records yesterday, 10 fell off the pace and only 26 remain with five days to go. Should all 26 falter, it opens the door for the one-loss participants, so there remains a chance for someone to sneak into the top tier. Ideally, you’ll want to be in the top 255 overall as that’ll earn you at least $25. Being in the top 680 isn’t bad either as you’ll receive $10. But if you’re using commons and don’t have the luxury of utilizing top players multiple times, being anywhere in the top 1,500 will be a great accomplishment.
The most important thing is consistency. Put your best foot forward and earn your win today.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 10 requires five (5) players who will distribute 20 more assists than turnovers, which means your lineup will need to average 4.0 AST-TO per player. With only six games on today’s slate, there’s no hiding. Either you have the five that help you reach the 20 or you don’t and the data can give you guidance but there are no assurances. Follow your gut, set your lineup.
Dishes the Ball, Takes Care of the Ball: Damian Lillard, Cade Cunningham, Tyrese Maxey, Scottie Barnes
Top Five (5) Players in FB Lineups: I. Quickley (65%), D. Lillard (64%), K. Lowry (40%), L. Ball (38%), C. Cunningham (37%)
Looking Ahead:
Tomorrow, 40 FGM & 55 FGA will be the pseudo double objective (but technically only one); 20 teams are in action
Objectives frequency (after today): FGA, REB, PTS, AST, STL, 3PM, 3PA, FGM
Considerations:
Sixteen (16) teams have the least games remaining this run (2)
Fourteen (14) teams have the most games remaining this run (3)
Houston is playing the tail-end of back-to-back games
Day 10 & 12 only have 6 & 8 teams in action, respectively so your lineup options will be more limited
Day 11 & 13 have 20 or more teams in action (Day 13 has all 30 teams in action)
3 of 5 remaining days this run will have a single objective (or resembles a single objective)
Statistical Approach:
Top players in projected assists minus turnovers according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 games, and rest of season projections, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ subscribers, projected rest-of-season stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Tome Collective’s Fast Break Run 9 Line-Up (Commons Only Challenge):
Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. Even with a limited lineup, participants have found a way to reach the maximum rewards. Follow along as the Tome Collective account participates in Fast Break without using any player more than once - in both our success and failures.
That’s win number 7, which keeps us within reach of the 11-win reward but we’ll need to win 4 of the final 5 days. Today will be one of the more challenging of the remaining, so here’s hoping we survive.
