NBA Fast Break Run 7 | Day 7
Pick 5 Players who will combine for 5 Offensive Rebounds and 35 Points in the Paint to earn your win.
Recap & Overview:
With the Hornets-Clippers, Spurs-Lakers, and Rockets-Hawks games all being postponed due to a song of fire and ice, there were only four games on the slate yesterday, which limited an already limited player pool who could deliver 125 points. Without Tyler Herro’s big scoring output in the late game, the number of winners yesterday would have been a measly 3%, but that number rose to 11% with Herro’s 32 points. The highest scorer on the day though, who happen to also be the most used player, was Devin Booker who scored 34 points and earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day award. If, however, you played Anthony Edwards, Ja Morant, and/or RJ Barrett, your outcome wasn’t as positive. As none of the three scored more than 15 points, they collectively were named the Fast Break Duds of the Day.
As a result of a challenging day where about 600 participants earned a win, we are down to 101 perfect records (from 538 previously). Including today, there are eight (8) days left where we’ll see that number dwindle with each passing day. Day 7 looks to have a more positive result based on the objectives. Let’s dive into the projections and stats.
Today’s Objective(s):
Fast Break Day 7 requires five (5) players who will accumulate 5.0 or more offensive rebounds and score 35.0 or more points in the paint, which means your lineup will need to average 1.0 OREB & 7.0 PIP per player. As these two stats occur on the same end of the possession, players who are in position to gather an offensive rebound are often those who have a tendency to score close to the hoop, so these two stats are relatively correlated. This means there are many players who can deliver you both stat categories. Unlike yesterday, your lineup options are broad.

Many Fast Break participants do not have an extensive collection of rare or legendary moments, so they are limited to single use commons. With 3 of 7 games postponed, the probability of a win today seemed unlikely. Layer on top of that poor performances from Ant, Ja, and RJ Barrett, and you had a recipe for disaster. We had two of those players in our lineup, but came with 8 points of sneaking into the win column. Unfortunately, Herro and Book’s great performances could not overcome Ant & Ja. We press forward and look for our 5th win today. 7 wins is the primary goal, but 11 wins is the stretch goal. Our room for error is down to one game though.
