NBA Fast Break Historic | Run 2 | Day 11

Today’s Objective(s): 50 Rebounds

Fast Break Historic Recap: Day 10

Yesterday was tough sledding across all Fast Break iterations as none exceeded a 40% win rate. Historic was the highest at 38%, which is low considering the typically high win rate.

Out of the top five, Serge Ibaka (utilized in 50% of lineups) led the way with 27 points scored, which earned him the Fast Break Stud of the Day award. On the other end of the spectrum, Tracy McGrady could only deliver 16 points, which detrimentally impacted the 40% of lineups who had him. Considering the average needed was 25 per player, this likely led to the poor outcome for most. With his performance, he earned the Fast Break Dud of the Day award.

Overview:

  • Day: 11 of 14

  • Objective(s): 50 Rebounds (10.0 REB)

Top Player Options:

  • Point Scorers:

    • S Tier (averaged 13.0+ REB): Dikembe Mutombo

    • A Tier (averaged 10.0+ REB): Kevin Willis, Carlos Boozer, Mark Eaton, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Brad Daugherty, Anderson Varejao, Jermaine O'Neal, Chris Bosh

  • Top Five (5) Players in Historic Lineups: J. O'Neal (62%) | S. Marion (53%) | M. Eaton (49%) | K. Willis (48%) | C. Bosh (47%)

Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:

  • Objectives remaining (after today): AST-TO, STL, FGM, FGA, BLK

  • Tomorrow Objective(s): 5 Blocks & 7 Steals (1.0 BLK & 1.4 STL)

Considerations:

  • Twenty (20) teams have the most remaining games (2)

  • Ten (10) teams have the fewest remaining games (1)

  • Day 11 (today) & 13 has 10 or less teams in action, so lineup options are more limited

  • The always volatile & challenging AST-TO takes place on Day 13

Statistical Approach:

Top players in rebounds according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 (when available), and season averages, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ members, all active player stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.
