NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 5 | Day 12
Knicks Edge Cavs, Spurs Stun OKC (Yet Again), Joker Leads Denver to Win in OT
NBA Recap: December 25, 2025
The day opened in Madison Square Garden for an early game, where the Knicks outlasted Cleveland 126–124. New York controlled the early tempo, Cleveland surged late, and the final minute turned into a possession‑by‑possession grind. The Knicks’ late‑game execution held just long enough to secure the holiday opener.
San Antonio followed with the day’s biggest statement, beating Oklahoma City 117–102 for OKC’s 5th loss of the season — 60% coming at the hands of the Spurs. The Spurs dictated pace, won the physical battles, and kept the Thunder’s offense out of rhythm from the opening quarter — a rare home stumble for one of the league’s top teams.
Golden State took the third game, handling Dallas 126–116. The tone shifted meaningful after Anthony Davis left the game early with a groin injury. The Warriors’ shot‑making and tempo kept the Mavericks chasing all afternoon, and Stephen Curry’s 26,000‑point milestone added a signature moment to the win.
The night window saw Houston defeat the Lakers 119–96, a game where the Rockets’ pace and perimeter scoring repeatedly cracked the Lakers’ half‑court defense, which also was LA’s third blowout loss in a row. And the holiday slate closed in Denver, where the Nuggets held off Minnesota 142-138 in overtime and a game where Joker delivered an NBA2K level statistical output as he had a 56/16/15 triple-double.
Fast Break Recap: Day 11
Day 11 was another mixed bag, but one that wasn’t red across the board. Classic saw 62% winners driven primarily by Joker, who had a massive 15 AST-TO if he was your captain. He was the only player noted as S Tier in yesterday’s article and he came through in a big way, covering 75% of the day’s objective (if he was your captain). With his performance, he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day.
LeBron, however, was the most utilized player but could only muster 2 AST-TO, which was lowest among the top five. With his performance in a loss to the Rockets, he earned the Fast Break Dud of the Day award.
In Pro, only 42% earned a win and in Historic, 83% earned a win.
