NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 5 | Day 11
Cavs Torch Pelicans, Spurs Beat Thunder (Again), Mavericks Stun Nuggets
NBA Recap: December 23, 2025
Charlotte handled Washington 126–109, a game where the Hornets’ pace overwhelmed a Wizards team still searching for structure. Brooklyn followed by outdueling Philadelphia 114–106, a win built on timely shot‑making and a fourth‑quarter push that kept the Sixers at arm’s length. Chicago edged Atlanta 126–123 in a game that felt like a sequel to their 300‑point chaos from two days earlier, while Cleveland went nuclear in the scoring department as they beat New Orleans 141–118, turning the second half into a highlight reel. Milwaukee steadied themselves with a 111–94 win over Indiana, and Toronto clamped Miami 112–91, a defensive showcase that never let the Heat breathe.
The middle window delivered the night’s first real shockwaves. Dallas stunned Denver 131–130, stealing a one‑point thriller that flipped the Western Conference standings for a night. Minnesota protected home court with a 115–104 win over the Knicks, leaning on their defense to close the door late. And then came the marquee matchup: San Antonio walked into Oklahoma City and beat the 26–3 Thunder 130–110, a statement win that instantly became the headline of the night. It wasn’t a fluke — the Spurs controlled the pace, the glass, and the energy from tip to buzzer. They now account for two of OKC’s four losses and they play again on Christmas Day.
The late window brought its own brand of chaos. Phoenix handled the Lakers 117–88, a wire‑to‑wire blowout that never offered Los Angeles a foothold as the Suns’ offense hummed from the opening quarter. Memphis outlasted Utah 117–110, a game where the Grizzlies’ late‑game execution finally showed signs of life. And in Portland, the Magic led 63-50 at the half before cruising to a 110-106 win that appeared closer than it really was. Next, Detroit dominated early as they were up 75–58 against Sacramento at the break and never looked back as they secured a 1146-127 win over struggling Kings. The night closed with the Clippers delivering the biggest upset of the 14-game slate, beating Houston 128–108, a result that flipped every pregame expectation on its head.
Fast Break Recap: Day 10
Day 10 was a mixed bag, which differed from the previous couple days in Fast Break Run 5. Classic and Historic saw a high win rate (88% & 60% respectively), but Pro only had 12% of its participants earn a win as three pointers were not falling for the typical players.
In Classic, Anthony Edwards led the way as he shot 15 of 27 from the field which accounted for 33% of the needed field goals. With his performance, he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day. On the other hand, Tyrese Maxey was the third most utilized player and he only shot 21.4% from the field, shooting 3 of 14 overall. His performance easily earned him the Fast Break Dud of the Day.
Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 11 of 13
Objective(s): 20 Assists minus Turnovers (4.0 AST-TO)
You’ll need five (5) players who will accumulate 20 more assists than turnovers, which means each player will need to average 4.0 AST-TO. This is historically a challenging objective as each of your five players will have an impact on your day — especially if they have a rough day in the turnovers department and/or a low output day in assists. Worse yet, if they deliver a net negative performance or if your captain struggles. Lastly, you could be winning one moment and losing the next as this is one of the few regular objectives where you won’t know where you stand until your final player’s game ends. In other words, it’ll be a dicey one today if it mirrors previous iterations with this objective.
