NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 5 | Day 10
Cavs Outgun Hornets, Celtics Grind Past Pacers, Nuggets Blitz the Jazz
NBA Recap: December 22, 2025
Cleveland outlasted Charlotte 139–132 in the first game of the day; a game where the Cavs’ 40‑point second quarter set the tone and the Hornets spent the rest of the night trying to keep up. Boston followed with a methodical 103–95 win over Indiana, leaning on a 30–18 third quarter to finally pry the game open. New Orleans kept the early window spicy with a 119–113 win over Dallas, a back‑and‑forth affair where the Pelicans’ late‑game execution finally separated the two.
Denver then delivered the night’s loudest statement, blasting Utah 135–112 behind a 70‑point first half that turned the second half into a victory lap. Oklahoma City kept pace atop the league with a 119–103 win over Memphis, using a 36‑point second quarter to seize control and never look back. The Thunder moved to a blistering 26–3, and they looked every bit the part.
The night closed with two West‑Coast matchups that couldn’t have been more different. Golden State took a relatively close game and exploded in the fourth quarter to beat Orlando 120–97, a game where the Warriors’ shot‑making kept the Magic at arm’s length despite multiple pushes. And in Portland, the Pistons’ road magic continued as they beat the Trail Blazers 110–102 win to improve their record to 23-6.
Fast Break Recap: Day 9
Day 9 was another trio of majority winners as Classic had 89%, Pro had 56%, and Historic had 93% of participants walk away victorious. Pro was the worst of the bunch, but majority is majority.
Anthony Davis, the player with the highest utilization at 86%, had the best performance out of the top five as he accumulated 17 rebounds and 1 block. With his performance, he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day. Within the same game, P.J. Washington had the lowest rebounding total as he only had 8…but it plenty to exceed the minimum average per person, so he technically is not a dud as defined by prior winners.
Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 10 of 13
Objective(s): 45 Field Goals Made & 55 Field Goal Attempts (9.0 FGM & 11.0 FGA)
You’ll need five (5) players who will make 45 or more and take 55 or more field goals, which means each player will need to average 9.0 FGM & 11.0 FGA. The former will dictate whether you win and the latter will determine where you rank overall. This is straightforward, but the objective is not a layup as one player can derail your day. The goal is to utilize a high performing captain while avoiding the underperformers — easier said than done.
