NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 5 | Day 7

Celtics Flex, Spurs Roll, Thunder Fall

NBA Recap: December 19, 2025

In Boston, the Celtics handled Miami 129–116, closing with a 37‑point fourth quarter that felt like a reminder: when their offense catches fire, resistance is mostly symbolic. Derrick White’s 33 led the way, while Miami’s 24 from Kel’el Ware wasn’t nearly enough to keep pace. Up in New York, the Knicks couldn’t buy a bucket late, falling 116–107 to Philadelphia after a fourth quarter where they mustered just 20 points. The Sixers’ balance carried the night, and MSG got a rare quiet ending.

Atlanta, meanwhile, ran straight into a Texas‑sized buzzsaw. The Spurs steamrolled the Hawks 126–98, dropping 68 in the first half and never looking back. San Antonio looked every bit like a team shaking off its Cup hangover, while Atlanta looked like a team still searching for the snooze button. And in Cleveland, the Bulls lit up the Cavs 136–125, riding a 34‑point second quarter and a 35‑point fourth to slam the door. Chicago’s offense looked to find their rhythm while Cleveland continued their mid-season struggles.

Lastly, the Timberwolves gifted the Thunder their third loss on the season in a back-and-forth affair. Minnesota outscored Oklahoma City by seven points to secure the big five point win that should give them confidence they can compete for the rest of the season and deep into the playoffs.

Fast Break Recap: Day 6

All three iterations of Fast Break saw a higher than 50% win rate with Classic being the lowest at 55%. Pro had 69% and Historic had 93% of participants walk away victorious. With points in the paint and offensive rebounds as the two objectives, the results were a mixed bag depending on who you had in your lineup. Who your Studs and Duds were likely varies whether you won or lost yesterday.
