Bulls Beat the Odds, Grizzlies Keep Roaring
NBA Recap: December 17, 2025
In Chicago, the Bulls flipped the script on the Cavaliers, winning 127–111 despite being underdogs in the win-probability charts. Josh Giddey notched his sixth triple-double of the season (23 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists), while Coby White poured in 25, which begs the question of which version of the Bulls will show up each night. Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell dropped 32, but the Cavs’ defense looked more like a revolving door than a fortress.ssssssss
Up in Minneapolis, the Timberwolves learned the hard way that the Grizzlies are no longer just Ja-and-pray. Memphis pulled off a 116–110 win behind Jaren Jackson Jr.’s 28 points and 12 boards, plus a surprise double-double from Jock Landale (20 and 10). Minnesota had solid contributions from Julius Randle (21) and Rudy Gobert (16 points, 16 rebounds), but the Wolves’ late-game execution was more “howl at the moon” than “lockdown defense.” Memphis has now won four of five, proving they’re finding rhythm at just the right time.
Fast Break Recap: Day 4
Classic & Historic continue their positive trend as 75% and 85% (respectively) of collectors earned a win. Pro, on the other hand, saw its first day below 50% as only 41% walked away victorious.
Rudy Gobert, the fifth highest utilized player in Classic, stole the show as he accumulated 16 rebounds. If he was utilized as your captain, he would have delivered 24 rebounds, which would have covered 53% of the required objective. With his performance, he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day award. His high volume likely contributed to the Dud of the Day, though.
Julius Randle, on the other hand, could only deliver five rebounds, which fell well short of the per-person requirement. If you had both, you were likely ok. If you did not have Gobert and had Randle, you were probably in the 25% who didn’t earn a win.
Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 5 of 13
Objective(s): 15 Three Pointers Made & 25 Three Point Attempts (3.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA)
You’ll need five (5) players who will make 15 and take 25 three pointers, which means each player will need to average 3.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA. The former will determine whether you win and the latter will dictate where you rank overall. A captain who makes at least three will set the table to a win, even if another player underperforms. Too many underperformers, however, could spell doom for your day. If Steph has a repeat performance of his last game, there will be a high win rate for Classic.
